“worked super well for baby sleep. The fabric had a strange smell that needed to be aired out (and even then wasn't completely gone), but did seem to phase my 8 months old and he slept great in this.”
“We loved the original Slumberpod and love the new version even more. The fan and added ventilation helped alleviate any worries on it getting too hot for our son. We’ve used the Slumberpod on numerous trips since he was 8 months old and now that he’s 18 months. We share a room with him on vacation and the rooms are never dark enough (especially for naps). We also use it just going to family and friend’s houses when we know we will be there during nap time. It ensures our son gets a quality nap and overnight sleep like he does at home. I don’t know how he would sleep on vacation without the Slumberpod. Definitely recommend it! It’s easy to set up and folds down into a small bag.”
“Ordered this before a trip where baby would be in room with me, after having been in her own room for many months. SlumberPod worked great. I was able to go in and out of the room without waking her. She slept great every night.”
“I couldn’t quite get the room dark enough for my 5 month old to sleep well. He was only sleeping 4-6 hours then waking. Someone told me about the slumberpod and now he is sleeping 10 hours a night!! This little tent has been a game changer. THANK YOU”
“Love this product for its pitch black interior and my little one is napping better, even on the go. A few comments on assembly: this is very hard to assemble in tight spaces due to the length of the poles. I think the makers could take a page from camping tents that include a central clip above the apex of the pod to hang and stabilize the poles, as well as metal grommets that the poles "clip" into at the four corners of the pod to keep the poles from slipping out of the pockets during assembly. I would also love to see a second window option on the shorter size of the pod catered to the Snoo--it's tough to reach in and snug the nugget in, and click the on button. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase.”
“I have used this on several long trips where we had to share a room with our daughter. It works well just as all of the reviews state. The price is expensive in my opinion - especially for what it is. HOWEVER, it is still worth it. If you think of easily spending this much on a hotel room for one night so that you can get some sleep then I think this puts it in perspective. My daughter was older (20 months) when we started using it, so we set it up well before the trip and spent some time playing in her "special tent." Then we tried naps and sleeping in it. Now she loves it. She always says, "can you zip me up?" when I put her down to sleep in this tent. We have used it in hotels, but we also set it up in our camper this summer and it worked well there too. It took up a lot of floor space but it was worth having a quite, dark place for napping in the middle of the day while we were camping. The one challenge is that this tent can get hot. Sure, you can open the vent panels - but then if you are trying to do something with the lights on in the room or it is mid-day naptime then the kiddo can see out through the vents. For bedtime, I usually zip it all up, but then go unzip it once it is dark and she is asleep. That doesn't work so well for naps. My solution has been two-fold. First, I dress her very lightly for use in the tent. (Except when we were camping - nighttime temps were 40 degrees so the warm tent came in handy!) The other thing I did was set up a small fan to circulate air through the tent. I used one of those clip on kind that are about 6" in diameter. I used some safety pins to pin up a corner of the tent and set the fan in the little opening I created - blowing air into the tent. This provided some circulation and made it a lot less stuffy in there than it was for the trips where I didn't try it. The little fan was a bit bulky in my suitcase, but to me it was worth it to get the tent to a good sleeping temperature. Anyway, once again...I highly recommend this tent. I plan to use it with a cot once my little one is out of a pack n play (she barely fits now!) Then I hope to re-sell it on ebay or something to recoup some of the initial investment. Go for it. Your sleep is worth it.”
“My little one needs a very dark space to sleep well at night. With the slumber pod, my little one had no issues sleeping through the night! We also shared a room with her and her sleep wasn’t disturbed at all!”
