“I just completed my 6th SmarTours trip to Morocco, and in a word it was fantastic. Morocco is a country I would label a "Hidden Treasure". It offers so much in the way of sights, sounds and tastes. Our tour leader, Khalid Lamdira is simply the best. He is a consummate professional who is articulate, intelligent, organizes and very thoughtful. The tour itinerary is really good with visits to great cities, wonderful mountain settings and a lovely desert. A highlight of the tour certainly was the camel ride through the Merzouga dunes. The hotels all met my expectations, with those in Boumaine Dades and Erfoud having a very rustic flavor. There was a long bus ride from Erfoud to Fez, but with multiple "happy stops" and lovely scenery I can't complain. I thought that the Moroccan food was really good and I especially enjoyed the coucous. In conclusion, this was a magical trip for me. Kudos to SmarTours for putting together a splendid cost-efficient trip with a wonderful tour guide. Anyone interested in visiting Morocco should seriously consider SmarTours.”

“Just returned from Morocco in September 2019. The key to our most successful trip was our guide Khalid. He was outstanding - knowledgeable,efficient, effective,professional and very personable. His organizational & communication skills were superb. Very much appreciated his attention to accommodating for everyone’s individual needs and genuinely connecting with each group member. Thank you for such a thrilling adventure! Please consider offering a 3 day/2night pre or post extension to include Chefchouan, etc...”

“I just completed my SmarTours trip to Morocco. In a word, it was fantastic. Morocco is a country that I would label a "Hidden Treasure". It offers so much in the way of sights, sounds and tastes. There are so many contrasts that keep the traveler excited. Our tour leader, Khalid Lamdira is simply the best. He is a consummate professional who is articulate, intelligent, organized and very thoughtful and compassionate. The tour itinerary is really good as we start in Casablanca and end in Rabat. In between, you have Marrakesh, Essaouria, the High & Mid Atlas Mountains, Erfoud, Boumaine Dades, Sahara Desert & Fez. A highlight of the tour certainly was the camel ride through the Merzouga dunes on camelback. The hotels were all really good with those in Boumaine Dades and Erfoud having a real rustic flavor. There was a long bus drive from Erfoud to Fez, but with the multiple "happy stops" and lovely scenery I can't complain. The bus driver and his helper were so adept at their jobs and made for a comfortable journey. I thought that the meals overall were very good and I especially enjoyed the couscous dishes. In conclusion, this was a magical trip for me. SmarTours is indeed fortunate to have Khalid L. as a Tour Leader. Anyone interested in visiting Morocco should seriously consider SmarTours. It offers great value for the money!”

“Khalid was an excellent tour guide. He is the caliph of Moroccan history and hearld of the happy place. He is an historian, Precise, articulate and a storyteller. Khalid taught us a new Moroccan word everyday. Our group loved him. At our farewell dinner, we organized a program to thank him for sharing his country with us We recommend everyone to take the Morocco tour. It is more than Casablanca.”

“First, the tour director, Khalid was the best: articulate, extremely knowledgeable of the history, archeology, biology and culture of his country. He was always organized and gave personal attention to questions and concerns as they came up. The areas visited were varied as well as the components of each area were varied with culture mixed with history etc.”

“This was our first experience with Smartours and also the first time we’ve taken any kind of trip with a tour group. We were very pleased with our guide, Khalid, who was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved the mountains and the desert, as well as all the beautiful cities we visited. We weren’t especially pleased with having to spend so much time on the bus, but we realize that it was the only way to be able to see so much of the country. We also didn’t like the limited dining available to us when we were traveling from place to place. It seemed like we were stopping at the Moroccan equivalent of a truck stop for lunch on most days, and were almost always presented with the same limited menu of fast food. We were looking forward to sampling local foods but rarely got the opportunity to do so. On the whole, this was a nice introduction to Morocco that covered a lot of ground.”
