“This is the second time attempting to order the same glasses. I wore this model for years without prescription and loved them. However, the transition to RX lenses has been a bust. Both times the prescription was off and I couldn't see through the glasses at all. I took them to my optometrist and they basically said the prescription is not 'set' at the right place in the lens, so if you're looking out through the middle of the lens (during normal wear), the prescription is wrong. I brought this to their attention for the second order, but I got the same result. I'll be heading elsewhere for RX lenses! :(”
“I wanted a large frame pair of glasses that I could use for cruising around town, low activity excursions and wedding season. These are not the glasses you want to dance around and party in. I think they will only be good for driving. Any real moment of my head and the glasses slide down my nose and I feel like an elderly person looking over their bifocals. The end of the arms are wider than the hinges area, none of my other shades from Smith are like this. If you have a large head then these glasses will probably work for you. I like the lens color and the frames are as advertised but I don't think I would pick them again. I guess I should have went to a retailer and tried them on first but alas.”
“I love these glasses. The lenses have a large fit even on my large face. The coverage is good although with flat lenses there's a lot of light coming in from the periphery and I wouldn't wear them skiing or on snow. A few reviewers mentioned riding bikes with them, but they feel like style glasses to me. The frame fit is tight, but not enough for ripping singletrack on a mountain bike. I'd call them classy glasses for kicking it.”
“I love the fit of these - I have a pair I ordered a few years ago that have matte black frames and I just recently ordered a pair with normal black frames. Unfortunately the standard black looks so cheap and plasticky. I was expecting expensive glasses to look better than those you’d get at a dollar store”
“These at comically large glasses. I’m 6’3”, 220 with a big head and they look like clown glasses. Super disappointed but that’s what I get for buying without trying them on.”
