“Decent fit and does not slip while in cycling position. Great optical quality. Style on my face is a bit of a letdown in person but not all pairings of geometry are suitable to all face shapes.
Functional issues:
Mirror is not opaque and eyes show even in bright light. I would not classify that coating as a "mirror" when eyes are easily visible in all lighting. Misleading term for sure.
Biggest con is direct light is refracted at the rim and arms near the hinges. This casts a bright orange spot in peripheral vision. It is incredibly distracting and sometimes disorienting when cycling. It gives false information that something is coming from behind when it's nothing but the angle of the sun or light changing from obstructions like trees or buildings. Absolutely distracting and nerve wracking for a cyclist because now I can't trust my peripheral vision and the glare can be ever present in the wrong conditions. Might be corrected by opaque black frames and making the rims deeper to cover side of lens entirely. I have prescription lenses and my prescription is pretty low at -2.5 so not thick lenses by any measure.
Not sure how this could pass a prototype design. I was annoyed within 20 minutes of my first bike ride :(”
