“It took several attempts to get the correct replacement lens but the CS reps I talked to and the easy return process made this less of a hassle. Replacements arrived within 2 days. Lenses came in new cloth sinch bags with protective film covering the inside of the lens.”
“Pros: GREAT fit for a medium face and the best field of view of any goggles I have owned. Lens exchange is quick. No fogging issues. Great support.
Cons: All of my three lenses failed in the exact same manner where they developed dots and haze inside the lens layers within a couple of days of use - hence became blurry. I wrote three lenses because Smith 4D Mag comes with two lenses and Smith sent me a replacement after the first failed one - and the replacement failed as well within one weekend.
Smith's support is great, but unfortunately company denied my request for a refund and instead will send me another replacement - which is unacceptable with me given my lack of confidence after three failed lenses in a short ski season. I bought the goggles in Dec 2023 and used them mid-Jan thru mid-March 2024 (2 months). I will not purchase another Smith product not because of this particular defect, but due to their 'no-refund policy' for a repeated defective product.
