“This is an extremely comfortable helmet. It fits just as well as the other high end Smith helmets.
It’s missing the mark in a few areas though. First, at this price, it needs to come with a Fidlock buckle. Those are so much easier to use with cold fingers. You can’t even retrofit it.
Second, the visor is very tight to the face. I wear small glasses and they don’t clear the visor when you lower it unless you push them in against the face at the same time. The visor should be engineered to fit over at least slightly larger glasses. You should test yours before you buy this helmet.
The visor also is hard to swap for a different one. Smith has long since moved to very easy lens swap on the excellent goggles, but here you need a tool or at least a coin to unscrew the visor. It takes 10-15 minutes to do and is quite fiddly.
It also would be nice if you could get spare visors in the same color as the helmet, or if it was engineered to not include the color portion just to swap the lens. In addition, standard Gogglesocs won’t work on this visor. That also seems like something that could very easily be fixed with a slightly modified design.
If these things were addressed this would be the perfect helmet. It’s close, but just slightly misses the mark in a few key usability areas.”
