“Very comfortable, great style with very good ventilation (use in a tropical country, Costa Rica). The quality of the pads is superior. I feel like the strips are longer than normal, but it's a minimal detail. Very happy with the purchase, I bought 2, black and white. This will be my helmet brand for many years.”
“This is by far the best fit for a road helmet that I’ve owned. It’s snug in all directions without being overly tight in any direction which maximizes protection and is extremely comfortable to wear.
Looks great as well. I personally am tired of black so I bought an orange/reddish color that is unique and a bit more visible.
The helmet was bought directly from Smith and the ordering process was fine and the shipping was fast.”
“Love the fit of smith helmets. They work for my head. Colour selection fun. Safety components - check. However, the straps under the chin are incredibly difficult to size in this model, which is crazy considering the cost. The straps are old fashioned, difficult to loosen for sliding, and very stiff, making moving them longer or shorter very difficult. I suppose that means they won’t move much when you don’t want them to move, but if you wanted to switch to wearing it with a warm hat or bandana under you won’t be able to do that quickly. And, the instruction booklet that came with it had instructions for a different model that has the quick adjust clip/slider which my Trace did not.”
“rear ended by other bike-impact 20 -25 mph-suffered vertigo, occipital and temporal damage to mips, koroyd helmet mild concussion. Other rider hit dirt, suffered 3-5 minutes unconscious and mod to severe concussion- non mips helmet.
Smith did give me 30% discount on new helmet”

“Love the look and function of the helmet...the only issue is the fit. I feel like the large (which is the biggest option) could be more roomy. When I add a skull cap I only have 2 clicks of adjustment for tightening. I will be curious how this will fair this winter with thicker head coverings. I think a XL option would be a smart move.”
