“While the helmet is well fitting and well constructed, the Aleck crash sensor has been an absolute headache and frustration. Asking simple questions to the support team, like, how can you turn the sensor off when riding in groups or how can you turn it off after an accident, and how do you switch to 911 instead of a 112 has still not been resolved even after contacting them over two weeks ago.”
“Aleck Crash Sensor battery not charging. Filed a warranty claim and was notified that Aleck is not longer supporting the product and no replacements were available.
The helmet itself is awesome.”
“Smith Forefront 2 MTB helmet. Most comfortable helmet I ever wore. It showed its real value however when it mattered most. I had a heavy fall and hit a sealed surface with my head on the rear left. The blow was severe. Yet I walked away with a few scratches, a sore body and a mild concussion.
The helmet truly prevented more serious injuries or worse. I certainly will replace it with nothing else but the same model Smith helmet. I am 69 years old and I am greatful for the protection the helmet provided.”

“The fit is extremely comfortable for my head. I’ve been using the forefront 2 as my go to helmet for at least the past 5 years and I’d say my only feedback is that it does feel a bit warmer than some other helmets. My guess is the Koroyd tubes prevent some of the air flow from flowing as freely. The pros though, is that they act as a bug protector and do their job and protect the dome by deforming on impact. “It fits really comfortably and my favorite feature is the sunglass holder. It shipped and delivered extremely fast.
I would love a bit less packaging in the shipment if it was possible.”
“It was a good helmet. The helmet is hot though and doesn’t breath well. I also get my hair pulled on due to the silicon like grips on the boa system.”
