“I’m a fishing guide in south Florida, and I do a lot of sight fishing on the shallow flats, and you need to have the best polarized glasses to spot fish for your customers, it is the most important tool in my line of work, I have used other brands in the past, but there’s comparison to the lens technology that smith optics has with there croma pop lense where it cuts the glare on the water significantly and The colors are realaxing to your eyes and everything pops out with high definition, I love the product and I’m a big fan.

“I read all the hype, watched all the videos and spoke to anyone I came across that were wearing Smith optics sunglasses. I finally pulled the trigger after a days fishing where I was have difficulty seeing the river bottom when wading. I admit I was nervous about getting "mail ordered" progressive lenses but I got all the RX info and measurements from me optometrist and placed my order for the Guides Choice RX progressive lens ChromaPop Polarized Bronze Mirror sunglasses.
WOW!!! Received in 5 days, faster than ordering from my optometrist!, and was completely blown away when I put them on.
The clarity and color rendition is like seeing things for the first time. My Prescription is perfect with zero acclimation needed as I have been wearing progressive lenses for well over 25 years.
Fishing has taken on a new perspective from my old RX polarized sunglasses. Now I can see through the water to every little detail, rock, depression and FISH...I can see fish where I never would have seen fish before. Fishing mostly mountain streams around western NC where we have freestone water ways with unstable bottoms can be tricky...and dangerous. My new Guides Choice RX progressive lens ChromaPop Polarized Bronze Mirror sunglasses have given me added confidence when wading in some pretty tough spots. I can't say my catch rate has increased but that's on me, but I absolutely am experiencing my trips to the water with a whole new level of appreciation and confidence.
Smith Optics has really taken optics to an exceptional level and brought us fisherman along for the ride.
The one exception to my experience was I did not receive the sunglasses leash that was suppose to come with my sunglasses. Fishing in moving water without a leash on my sunglasses makes me nervous. Joel with customer service is trying to get that taken care of.
New customer and now a customer for life!
BTW, Joel in customer service could write a training manual on how that job should be performed! He is awesome!

“Background: I've been a faithful Action Optics, then Smith customer for 30 years. I fly fish in the rockies approx 100 da6s per yr. I hunt as well. The chromapop prescription glasses i recently bought are great, but they don't compare in the areas of visual acuity or toughness with the techlite prescriptions I've had in the past. Please bring back techlite glass in prescription. Please bring back the amber polarchromic color.”

“I used to wear contacts which allowed me to use great glasses like the Smith Guides Choice. As I’ve aged, I’ve quit wearing contacts due to declining near vision. After several seasons with sub-par polarized RX lenses, I finally bought the Guides Choice RX. Wish I had done it years ago. The Chromapop pops! They’re markedly better in clarity and fish-seeing than any others I’ve worn. Awesome glasses!”
