“I got this kit to mount my light for early morning rides in the winter months when the sun doesn't rise before 7:30a. And I got the ForeFront 2 SPECIFICALLY because it had this mount.
The idea is great. The placement of the light seems fine. My only concern is that there's only ONE screw and a small patch of two-sided tape holding the thing on. I've only had it on a few rides so far and no movement so hopefully it stays put.
I'm no engineer but I think with the money I and others have dropped on the helmet a better, more innovative and secure solution could have been created.”
“Ordered about a week ago and received yesterday. Installed on my Forefront yesterday evening and used it this morning. No complaints, seems fine. Mount is solid, more so than a velcro strap pulled through vents. But, I'm only giving 4 stars because it bugs me that I have to order this "special" vs. just coming with the helmet.
And, contrary to other review comments, as of right now availability doesn't seem to be a problem. Also, even though it's not clear in the product description, it is designed for both Forefront and Forefront 2, and comes with mounting instructions for both.”
