It took me a little while to get used to them, but I do like them. I play/practice Trumpet in a small space so it's nice NOT deafening myself anymore.

As a saxophonist the occlusion effect is a huge issue when dealing with earplugs. The Minuendo plugs, by allowing for a minimal attenuation, help lessen this at the lower settings and still allow for me to feel more protected in some of the louder large format bands I play in. Also love the fact that I can dial back and still have a conversation. The fit, size, and weight are great. Nice compact case and the leash with the magnetic backs make these super convenient.

I read the reviews and took a punt. I am so glad I did, for years I have struggled with all different types of ear plugs for live performance and never felt comfortable with the sound. Almost all other plugs I have used loose the higher frequencies. My search for the right plugs is over, these Minuendo plugs sound natural across all frequencies, the ability to regulate volume is brilliant. I have used them in some loud band rehearsals and three live shows so far and I am incredibly pleased with these plugs.

I won’t go to a concert without these earplugs! Everything still sounds pristine but at a comfortable level. Get these!

The idea behind these is really cool but the execution needs work. The glue on the magnetic rings that link them together was shot a week in and the rings will come out of the unit. There’s also no way to attach the case to your keys or a backpack which seems like an oversight. There are also now other reputable companies selling near this exact same thing for about half the price. Cool idea, but NOT worth $100, especially at this build quality.

I’ve had the opportunity to use the Minuendos for a month-and-a-half now in the woodworking shop, where the noises easily trespass 100 dB level. It does its job well protecting my hearing. The adjusters work also well, the difference is audible: one hears normal talking at low protection mode. They are comfortable (I’ve been using the 3-shell rubber tips). I will be testing the buds in an opera pit when we begin in September. What I am dissatisfied with is how quickly the magnetic rings came unglued. The feature in itself to habe the buds around the neck is handy, just the glue used to keep them in place either has melted or dried up or it is a wrong glue type. I would appreciate response from the Soundbrenner creators regarding this problem. Otherwise 4 stars.

A lifesaver since developing sudden acute tinnitus in 1 ear. Having the ability to adjust the reduction level has been worth every penny!
