Adjustable Earplugs - Best earplugs for musicians, drummers, concerts and live music Reviews

4.5 Rating 182 Reviews
I am the new bassist in the TREY ANASTASIO BAND and I have not used my plugs yet, but will be using them this weekend for rehearsals. If all goes well I hope these will be an essential tool for me on tour next month. So far I love them, but they have not been fully tested yet so please disregard my review.

I really like the new feature that you can adjust the volume. It is very practical. I intended to use it at home to block traffic noise while still being able to hear the sounds in my household which means I would wear it basically the whole day. I am a little disappointed that the sound quality is altered in contrast to the product claims. Also wearing them the whole day bothers me. So for this context they don't work for me so well. It still is an improvement however compared to the regular earplugs with filters. So it depends on what you want, what you want to use it for. After all, you shouldn't make the claim that the sound quality is for musicians who need crystal clear sound and so on as it is just not true. It is an improvement but there is still room to develop.

they seem to work pretty well. i like the magnet that keeps them together when not in use. not sure why they are so expensive since there isn't that much going on and there are no electronics?

These work really great for concerts, and i also use them in my band. They block out the right frequencies in both arenas, and you don't really notice that they're in the ear. Also, they are comfortable when singing as well! 3 stars might be a bit harsh, but the reason is: The magnet came off both plugs after a couple of sessions, without any abuse, so that is a quality problem. Not a feature i really need, but still.. The lever on top of both plugs are a bit too loose.. I take it it is because it should be easy to adjust while the plugs are in the ear, which makes sense, but they are still too loose for my taste. I wish you could firmly adjust the lever to the wanted spot, and be sure that it stays there for the whole gig. For the price i think these things should be of better quality, but then again compared to the price for active, moulded earplugs, these are brilliant and really useful. I will be on the lookout for new versions!
