“I've ordered many of the other spices, and the slow cooker recipe book before. I LOVE the truffle black garlic parm seasoning so much I've ordered some to give out as Christmas presents this year. So I decided to take a leap of faith in the Dash of Desperation. It is in so many of the recipes. For me, there is WAY too much pepper. This proportion makes the spice mix seem in the "hot & spicy" category. Now, I do have a 9 yr old, so we keep the spicy at a min. In our recipes because his pallet is sensitive to all seasoning. He's got the nose of a bloodhound, like his father.
Just my opinion, but I only use half the amount called for in the recipes and supplement with additional garlic and onion powder.
Still love Stacy's recipes, seasonings, and all her advice on losing weight. Will continue to be a loyal customer and tell all my friends & family about the truffle black garlic parm. I put that stuff on so many things. Even got my 18yr old to eat broccoli after all these years because of that seasoning. So there's still hope for my hubby & little one. Thanks Stacey!!!”
Michelle!! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. I have a feeling I know what has happened with your Dash... as pepper flakes are much bigger and lighter than the rest of the mix, sometimes during packing and shipping, the denser products head towards the bottom of the tin & the mix gets out of balance. I suggest you do the following: Put your finger over the lid of the can & shake the can well to remix the product. Then, when using, don't just scoop front the top, use a small spoon and actually pull the seasoning from the middle of the can- that way you'll get the entire mix as is should be. I hope that helps!
