Great finish, superb balance. Could be a little sharper, but don’t get me wrong, it’s plenty sharp enough to cut!

Item was as described. Customer Service extremely helpful. Fast shipping. The item arrived safely and the item is definitely a recommended item in terms of quality and price. I've ordered twice from swordis and both times I was extremely satisfied with the item received. I am glad to have come across Swordis and highly recommended.

This is my first Shadow Dancer, and for what I've heard about their build quality, I did have some high expectations. The casting quality of the menuki, fuchi, and kashira are all crisp and clean. The saya feels a tad thinner than other katana I have, but fits the blade well. The habaki hugs the blade close, and the gap between it and the blade is minimum, but it does appear unusually large and designed for a slightly wider blade. The wrap isn't the tightest I've seen, but is well tight enough that I don't feel like I need to worry about it unravelling anytime soon. Nothing felt loose after my first cutting session. The koiguchi is a bit too tight a fit, but I'm not sure if it's a weather factor or not, and it'll eventually wear into where it should be. The blade is a little bit thinner and less wide than most other katana I have. It does have a real geometric yokote. This does make it lighter and more maneuverable even without a bo-hi, but does take away some authority in a cut due to its lesser mass, but what actually puts its out of box performance in question was the sharpness it came as. While I do not doubt the blade's durability being made with S7, I did expect the sharpness to be better. It was good enough to get through most targets I put it against, some bottles it just batted aside, and it more tore through paper than actually cut. This is what gets points deducted from my given score. It would have been full five had the blade been sharper out of the box.

As described, this is a high performance katana! All the fittings are kept fairly simple, something I appreciate as all the $ is spent on katana performance, which matters most. The handle is secure and comfortable, even for bigger than average hands like mine

I will keep the review short and to the point. just bought this and received in the mail. The fittings are crisp and sharp, doesn't have that templates mold feel, they stand out and are sharp. and the ito wrap was tight, and blade was sharp. Great pick if you want a functional cutter with ornate fittings.

Is a tough sword. A small child cut his finger with it so it came reasonably sharp. Borderline razor sharp. Nothing of the sword was a mess as far as the dressing. It will kill.

Nice katana especially for the price! I was blown away by how it feels to use it. Its very lively and good tachikaze with proper technique, something I have yet to fully master. Fittings are beautiful but 4/5 overall since I didn't realize that it wouldnt have a hamon. I did reach out to support and a return was offered but I opted to keep it for the S7 blade.
