How are the Handle and Fittings?
The pictures do not do it justice. The gold speckling in the saya are beautiful, the whole colouration is great, nice and conservative styling done very well. Casting on the tsuba is very clean, the menuki casting is also clean and easily distinguishable. Fuchi and kashira are well done, and the transition between the two and the ito is clean, no ridges or anything that could catch on your hand or cause any hot spots. The ito wrap is done well, nice and tight on the diamonds, and it's very comfortable to hold. The blade is excellent, very beautiful hamon, the shinogi zukuri blade shape is done well, subtle curvature to the blade. All in all, very nice, could not be happier.

The way my son Eric Husayn and his friend Spaceghost1822 co raved about this is why I bought it . My first sword. Order 10/2 got here 10/7 must have been last on cargo plane & first off . My other order is in Shanghai. I was not disappointed. This is as they said, the best bang for your buck out there. The tsukamaki is tight nice keisho polish geometric yokote choji hamon excellent saya fit balanced but authoritative blade Definitely the best budget katana in my eyes

I have 3 Shadow Dancer swords. To date, I have never been disappointed by the outstanding quality for the price. Tsuka ito is tight. Tsuka is more of a Nihonto style, and the appropriate dimensions are about 10 inches for a 28-inch blade (nagasa). This places the feel of the weight closer to the Monouchi. The Saya has a slim and slightly tapered feel. The Saya color is a dark brown with very small, subtle gold specks, and is a really nice touch. The fittings are unique but not tacky. The Shitodome actually stays in place (which is rare these days), and the fuchi and kashira are simple but nice. Being 1095, it's a little on the heavy side, but expected, and the sword still has a nice balance. The hamon is actually quite pronounced and really nice. The Samegawa (rayskin wrapping on the Tsuka or handle) is real, and though it is panels, it is still nicely done. The leather tsuka is tight and of a nice quality (I don't know how long it will last)

As stated, clean and elegant design and its anything but basic! 1095 diff hardened steel with all the upgrades blows my mind that its only 300+. Any other brand and this sword is easily worth more than double its price.
