How's the Blade?
How are the Handle and Fittings?
Holding a sword forged from genuine tamahagane steel is a spiritual experience. The texture and organic look of the folded steel are entirely different from standard modern steel. The polish is an absolute work of art. You can instantly see why it takes months to complete.

How are the Handle and Fittings?
A unique and beautiful piece that has far exceeded my expectations. Shadow Dancer and Swordis has yet to disappoint. Its appearance is unrivaled, I can see the care and detail put into crafting this wonderful katana fit for royalty. The materials used like the tsuka ito feels luxurious and the finish for the fittings are elegant. Although it weighs 2.3lbs, I couldn't tell as it feels lightweight and very intuitive. The design makes it feel as if it moves with you, not against you. Because of this, the performance of the katana in terms of point of balance, weight distribution, recovery, transitions, etc is wonderful. It has cut beautifully for me so far on lighter targets, I have yet to make up my mind if I want to test it on more.
