Sword came faster than expected. Fittings are great blade not too sharp but manageable. The saya came chipped. The blade is awesome and cuts great.

Beautifully crafted katana. I absolutely love this sword! It came well packaged and arrived sooner than I thought. As soon as I unwrapped it and held it I could immediately tell the difference between a very well made katana and the cheap wall hangers that claim to be real usable katanas. It is well balanced and feels good in the hand. The handle wrapping is very tight as well as all the fittings. At first it was very tight in the scabbard but loosened up with a little use. I absolutely love this katana and highly recommend it. Especially love the Musashi style tsuba. The blade is beautiful and came very sharp.I highly recommend buying from swordis, as soon as you order you kept updated on shipping. I would and have already ordered from them again. They are my go to katana store.

Amazing katana for under $500. I went without the groove and did regret it a little as it it heavier than my other swords. That was however my intention as I wanted to strengthen my hands and wrist. 4/5 for the handle as I think a simple black ito would be much nicer than the current color.

Balanced features like a bo-hi (groove) option, traditional fittings (samegawa, tsuka-ito, mekugi), and a mirror polish make it visually striking. Strong value for the price — many features found in higher-end swords.

The Shadow Dancer 1095 Musashi Katana offers sharpness, balance, and reliability for training and cutting practice. Its clay-tempered blade provides strength with a distinct hamon, while the weight and handling feel natural in practice. A solid and dependable katana for serious practitioners.

Simple and elegant katana with higher end features! You'd be hard pressed to find any katana under 300 that has 1095 blade, sanbonsugi hamon, bohi option, brass fittings, and hilt with hishigami. The groove and hishigami are only usually available for an additional fee.

Really love this new sword, Ito's super tight, it's light, balance, elegant and well built. Performance for cutting and IA are above expectations for that price range. Great value for your buck !

Once again, A cut above competition, for overall quality, service, VERY tight ito, details and balance ... Compare to my SD Hira Zukuri S5 Steel I bought 2 months ago, this sword is really well made for it`s price range. SD really puts in the extra effort to define their brand and standards.
