How are the Handle and Fittings?
The quality and workmanship in the sword that I received was outstanding, I truly tried to photograph it better than SD and could not. It truly is what you see is what you get. That is a very hard thing to put trust, a little splash of faith and a whole lot paycheck. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Again thank you to the shadow dancer team, Mr. Walker.

How are the Handle and Fittings?
My copy weighs 1010 g, or 2.23 pounds. However, I cannot call it heavy. The center of gravity is about 14 cm from the tsuba. The saya is quite tight at the entrance, but at the kissaki, at the very bottom, it is loose enough that the blade rattles. But that's okay, the saya is mass-produced and there's nothing to complain about. On the other hand, its basic color scheme – black with red spots – is something wonderful. The handle wrap is very tight and gives the impression of high quality. However, it is worth noting that the brown color of the wrap gets dirty quickly. This is a normal process when using a sword for training. The blade is nicely made, with sharply defined edges. The hamon looks good, and the pattern of two types of steel joined together is visible, despite the lack of etching on the blade. The blade is not masterfully polished, but for this price, we get a very well-made blade. Unfortunately, it is not sharp. It will cut through targets such as cardboard or a water bottle, but cutting paper or, God forbid, shaving is out of the question. It needs to be sharpened. The fittings are beautiful, very detailed, and fit the whole. The katana is visually consistent, which is its greatest asset. In summary, I rate it as very good. At this price, it is difficult to find anything that could compare to it. I must add that it is quiet. Both when pulling it out of the sheath and, unfortunately, when cutting. This is a characteristic feature of katanas without a bohi.

I am astounded at the quality and craftsmanship of this katana. It handles extremely well and the point of balance seems to be tailored for me. This is my 7th katana and feels the best in my hands. So far, it does cut well but I have yet to try it out in a full test.

What an amazing sword coupled with a great customer service experience with David from Swordis and the Shadow Dancer team! David listened to all my customization ideas and did everything I requested him to do. The Sword came well packaged with a nice sword bag, and extra mekugi pegs. After using this Katana for about a month it quickly became second to none for Iai, as far as swords in my collection. It ain't no slouch for cutting though!
