How's the Blade?
How are the Handle and Fittings?
This looks more like a Greek short sword than a Viking sword. The blade is decently ground but has no distal taper so it is blade heavy. the fuller isn't well ground but not bad for hand done, fullers are very hard to grind freehand. it is sharp. the handle fittings are nice but there was a lot of buffing compound left in the details, but a little acetone will take care of that. the wood handle is nice but a little more oval would feel better in the hand. The scabbard is acceptable but the belt is designed to go over the shoulder, for my height 6ft 1inch tall, it landed in my underarm. It might work over the shoulder for a Hobbit!! A little wider and a better buckle would be better. You can put it around your waste so not all bad. The sword is decent for the type of sword but not real functional but I wanted a sword like this in my collection and it fits the bill. I've seen better and I have seen worse as well. Maybe for a better price point for 280$ kinda high more like a 200$ price might be better.
