How's the Blade?
How are the Handle and Fittings?
I waited a good week to leave a review because I wanted to be thorough. I was inspired to buy one after seeing Robinswords in YouTube review it in two shorts. During the last week, I've used it daily for walking, crooking things over to me with the handle as a croupier might, and otherwise using it in every way a disabled person such as myself benefits from having such a tool. Furthermore, I performed some light stress testing, including forcefully dropping the sheathed cane and blade onto asphalt l, and testing the sword with forceful swings, including cutting, chopping, and thrusting. The stout blade is remarkably sturdy, just as the ebony darkwood and the brass fittings are. The only damage sustained in the fall to asphalt is pictured: the handle sustained minor chipping, and the brass fittings received a small scratch on the switch, and a small dent on the decorative ring where the handle itself connects to the shaft. This is the only substantive damage the entire thing received both from blade testing and the drop. The Damascus is of remarkable quality as far as modern takes go, and the entire thing is nonpareil. Mine did not need to be resized before delivery; the default size was the perfect height for me. I intend to keep it by my side 24/7 and use it not only for walking and Tai Chi, but also practicing fencing in general. It is well suited to every use, and I love the thing and can't recommend it enough. As for why the blade is only four stars, it is simply because of the limitations of the medium; as far as cane swords generally go, this is as about as good as it gets, and with a distal taper to boot. Far from a novelty, I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

Blade is sharp and well crafted. There is a slight ratting when the sword is in the cane, but the locking mechanism is tight and solid. The use of it as a cane is good too, very stable. Overall, a good purchase.

Nice cane, good quality wood. My only concern is that the blade might be too thin and potentially break if there is too much impact.

The original sword I ordered came a little damaged and I reached out to support and was given a full refund! The wood near the end was a little scratched up but it didn't affect the blade on the inside. The cane still functions as it should~!
