“The jian was beautiful. Solid and well made. It is very heavy for this type of sword, definitely npt a flimsy wushu sword. However the scabbard is incredibly tight, the sword twists going into the scabbard making it near impossible to pull the sword back out. Very poor scabbard build. Happy with the sword, extremely unhappy with scabbard. The 2 stars removed were for the scabbard.”

The scabbards are made from wood, which can naturally expand with climate changes. Because of this, some swords may rarely have this issue.
