Couldn't be happier with my new cane sword. I've been looking for one with the classic derby handle for a while. it arrived quickly, well packaged, and was perfect.

How are the Handle and Fittings?
I was greatly pleased by the craftsmanship of this beauty! The wait wasn't very long at all and it was protected and packed very well. The wood when I took out of the box was so cold from shipping I thought it was metal! It is very nice hard wood the scabbard is a weapon in itself. I really appreciate the beautiful details in the brass and the mechanism to release the Beautiful Damascus blade is very secure and nicely done. The blade you choose is sharp or unsharpened...I chose sharp...AND IT IS VERY! I could estimate that this blade in a fight should be able to do significant damage to possibly removing stuff if ever used. I also would agree it was made well and by a professional. It has a nice spring to it's flex and I bet it would hold up against another sword no problem. Now..., for the only bad parts are that the cane sword does vibrate when walking and it's loud with the smacking! It can be solved from the craftsman when made, but it was not. ..so for $300 I could expect this cane to be whisper quiet. But it is not that..it easily could be from the builder for pennies...so I'm not sure why it wasn't done at all. I believe a cane sword should with out a doubt, TO BE QUIET!! It is not only annoying when you walk, but it alerts anyone nearby that it's probably a sword rattling around in there. So embarrassing to say the LEAST! And the handle where it connects also makes a clicking noise. Which I tightened the handle by bending the latch just a micro bit, and that fixed it... But it will need some padding also in the future when this eventually gets loose again. SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!FIX THE RATTLE INSIDE!!!And also where it connects back together too please. Future customers will love you for doing just a cheap simple fix. And for the final bash on this, I really hope you don't think this is trash at all for a cane sword..IT IS NEARLY PERFECT!! This can be fixed by the user with a little ingenuity, but for $300.00 it should have been done already, on both problems. THE Cane sword has a weight to it at about 1040 grams or 2.29 pounds total weight. The scabbard is 522 grams or 1.15 pounds and the sword is 518 grams or 1.135 pounds. Ok, so it's very well made ( just has a blade and handle vibration and rattle) but very well made blade. The Damascus is beautiful and nicely done for strength and flexibility. The handle is very comfortable. The metal work great but not excellent... it's $300.00 not $3000.00...SO, ALL IN ALL.. It's very very good and I'm impressed except for the rattle. The weight is what it is, because it's a weapon and solid natural material here. The only rubber/plastic it in the pad at the bottom tip with it's rubber. Ok, ENJOY!!I LOVE YOU!!

Awesome cane sword. I’m only 5’6” so it feels a bit like I’m a kid using his dad’s cane but I knew that before I purchased it because it clearly says it’s 36 inches tall and all of my other canes are 33 1/2 inches. But that’s ok. It’s still worth it.

I've been looking for a good looking derby handle cane for a while. The hidden blade is just a nice plus.
