“This iaito turned out to be an exceptional training sword. It is well balanced, easy to swing, and provides excellent audible feedback when used correctly. The tsuka wrapping is tight and well executed, with no looseness or movement anywhere in the assembly. The saya is a single-piece construction, which means the koiguchi remains solid and the sageo fitting will not loosen over time. I was impressed enough with the quality that I ordered a second one in a longer length. For anyone looking for a cost-effective iaito under $500, especially those not ready to invest in a higher-priced Japanese model or endure long wait times, this is an easy recommendation.”
