Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Beautiful retreat! They provide everything you need including firewood and water (thank you!). Jennifer and Barry were also very willing to help out with anything, including carrying bags down to the site.
The stream was lovely and refreshing. It was so wonderful to take our pups somewhere they were free to roam. You could stay and explore the Moosehead Lake area-- but honestly there is so much at the site to enjoy! Pack light-- seriously, unless you hike a lot. Its not a long hike down, but uphill back to the car!
Would definitely reccommend if you are looking to get out in nature and away! The pictures posted don't do it justice.”
“My husband and our 4 kids 10, 5 , 3 , & 1 camped at Naughty Pines for Father’s Day and it far exceeded our expectations. It is a little bit of a hike from where you park but the camp site is so worth it between the beautiful pebble beach, the great outdoor kitchen and fire pit area, and the well maintained tents, we definitely recommend visiting! With having a bunch of kids we were not really sure what to expect as this was our first time camping with everyone but it turned out to be such a great and relaxing experience even with some rain on our last day.”
“Pack light cause this site has everything you'll need and it is a bit of a stroll from the car. Awesome river side site with enough room for 6 and an awesome fire pit. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, so just book already!”
“Really beautiful spot, the pictures are great but don’t do it justice. We had an incredible time and hope to come back soon. Jennifer and her husband were great too and have clearly done a lot of work on this site. Highly recommend it!”
“We arrived to Naughty Pines in the late afternoon. It was my fault to not print out the directions to the house before, but definitely recommend as our service went out on the way. Jennifer was able to text with us though and Barry met us at the road to make sure we didn’t pass by. The walk down to the site is beautiful, well thought out, with convenient and adorable wood benches along the way if needed. For reference, our two year old walked the whole way down on his own every day. He even made the hike back up on his own the last day. We were with our four young children, so we planned carefully and brought down what we needed when we returned from exploring (food and clothing for the night and next day) and each morning we brought up the clothes that were dirty or no longer needed to make the load lighter on our last day for the parents. You could totally not leave at all, but we went to visit Greenville one day and another day went to the falls and swimming hole (absolutely beautiful and refreshing). We planned to head to Mt. Kineo one day, but we had a full day of rain. The campsite itself is well maintained and very clean. There was plenty of firewood, kindling, matches, cookware and tools, dinnerware, and a cooler etc. There are three benches around the fire but only two chairs, so you may want to bring some down for your stay if you prefer a chair. They provided extra blankets, towels, and feminine products. The toilet situation was a tentrr toilet that we found very clean and well stocked. The tents sleeping arrangements were great, although the one tent is a little bit of a walk away, so if you have a lot of young kids with you, you would have to plan that accordingly. There was a hammock and a pop up tent over the picnic area. The only two suggestions we would have would be solar shower bags (it would be nice to have them at the top when you arrive to carry down with you warm and then guests could bring them back up to fill and leave out for day) and it would be great to have some type of solar shower system/or spray nozzle for water container by the sink area for cleaning (although read on to hear about the river) In the tentrr tent itself they had the typical hooks that are in all the tents from the structure itself, but Jen and Barry had an extra set of pegs in the tent. They also set up a clothes line outside the tent. We would recommend hanging everything or placing on the top of any of the chairs or benches in main tent as we did get a little water after 12 hours of rain, but only where two mats were. Other nice touches were the maps and brochures of the area, cute hand drawn maps, and a great supply of games and coloring books and crayons. They even left four water guns down there which came in handy with our boys. Jen welcomed our boys to check out the hummingbirds feeding in their garden and made sure we were okay during the rain storm. The river is so clean and perfect for swimming. We brought our own inflatable boat down to the river (there was a pump in tent for matresses) and our children swam and floated. The swimming hole and waterfall is only a 5 minute drive and totally worth a visit. We stayed the majority of the day and had such beautiful weather. It was empty most of the day and felt like a secret spot. We cannot thank the hosts enough for the stay and accommodations. Everything we needed was there, but I am sure if it wasn’t Jen and Barry would have helped to make something work. We definitely would love to visit again and see what they have done with their property. They found a little slice of heaven.”
“This place had everything we could have ever needed, and Jenn and Barry did a great job providing it. There is a nice trail along the river and just up the road is one of the best hiking trails in Maine, which was breathtaking at the summit. I would recommend the site to anyone looking for a good time with family and friends.”
