“What an absolutely lovely getaway. My boyfriend and I were totally blown away at this little riverside site- both beautiful and secluded. we spent all day lounging on tubes in the river and exploring the dairy farm where the site was located. The hosts were very quick to respond and super helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely be back!”

“We absolutely loved our time at Skipping Rock. James and Lynn were so welcoming and accommodating and put so much thought and care into preparing the site for our stay. They thought of every detail from small sized river tubes for our children, to painted rock site decorations that our 4 year olds spotted right away!
The property is beautiful and peaceful. The river access was perfect for our kids to play safely and there was a large field with a hill behind the tent that our dog and kids loved to run and play on. The site was well shaded and we enjoyed sitting by the river in the evening with a beverage. We would love to come back again!!!”
“This campsite exceeded our expectations and the property was beautiful and peaceful. James and Lynn were so welcoming, accommodating and easy to communicate with even before we got there. They put a lot of thought and care into every detail of the site, from the kid sized river tubes for our 4 year olds to the painted rocks we found decorating the area, we noticed all the extras they put into making this an enjoyable experience for us. We definitely over packed as we were pleasantly surprised by all the extras available including games for the kids.
The site itself is picturesque and nicely shaded. The river access was great for our young kids to play in the shallow areas safely and provided a relaxing place to enjoy an evening beverage. There was also a field with a hill on the other side of the tent that our kids and dog loved running around in. We would love to come back and stay in the future!”
“The best part of this place was the swimming hole. It must have been at least 8 ft deep and was right outside our door. Also, the site was a well-kept, well stocked place and the hosts were extremely hospitable. My son forgot his straps for his hammock tent and they went out of their way to find straps he could use.
If you go and are looking for something to do, I recommend the Frontier Culture Museum. We couldn't see it all in one day and will be back.”
