“We had a fantastic time staying along Bear Creek. The site is large, secluded, and well furnished (for people used to tent camping). Loved reading in the hammock down by the creek. Short hike down to the beautiful waterfall and swimming hole, which was freezing but very refreshing! Would absolutely stay again.”

Scott and his wife were so accommodating, the campsite was just wonderful with endless trails right outside of the tent. This was especially useful during this pandemic when the state parks were packed.
Scott also provided so many extras with dish soap, soap, fire starters, paper towels , foil and so much more! He had a shed where we could borrow games and other items we may have forgotten. We will definitely be back!”
“We just had an amazing one night stay (next time it will have to be for longer!). This was such a lovely sight especially with the stream right next to your tent! Total isolation away from everything. Everything we could have needed was provided by Scott and his wife. They were so friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we got there. We were able to do one of several private trails and check out some waterfalls. It is down a steep hill and the site is tiered, so be prepared for some up and down. A wagon was provided to trek things down to the site. There were super bright lanterns available in both the dinette area as well as the tent. If you need some things for cooking or little things- there is a shed with those things available. We had a great time and looking forward to when we can do it again.”
“Bear Creek Falls Getaway was truly that- a getaway. The sound of the creek that runs right through the bottom of the hill is all you can hear during the day and at night. The site is covered by a canopy of trees so it was always cool and shady. The hiking and swimming hole is incredible. All of the vegetation and untouched nature made us feel like we had gone back in time. Scott and Tina were amazing hosts. There is a shed with extra tarps, chairs, and cooking pots/pans if needed, though we brought most of our own things. There was a lamp in the kitchen and tent which was super handy. They also gave us a map with all the trails on the property laid out and color coded (though we did end up getting lost of Matthew's Meander). The site has a steep driveway which can be tricky if you have any mobility issues and the site is tiered between the loo, bed, kitchen, fire pit, and creek which we loved, but again, can be tricky to traverse. Plenty of potable water and fire wood was provided and there weren't many bugs at all. The path to the swimming hole is magical with logs to cross, wooden bridges, and a long rope bridge. It is definitely worth the short hike to get there. Would also recommend walking Tina's Trek along the river for some amazing waterfall views. We will definitely be returning here ASAP!”
