“When I tell you this place is special… wow, I still don’t even have the words. This was probably my husband and my favorite getaway in years, coming up close with the trip we took to Guatemala on Lake Atitlan where we got engaged. THAT is just how special of a gem this location is, in addition to the energy that magical exists here. The hosts are the kind of humans that just want to share their beautiful treasure of a space with others because they are wonderful souls. It was perfectly private, but we honestly loved getting to know them and chatting with them a bit as they were going above and beyond to accommodate us as “novice” campers :) swimming in the gorgeous pond, letting our pup run free (happiest he’s ever been, coming from Brooklyn) walking the trails and cooking delicious campfire dinners - we had everything we could possibly dream of and felt surrounded by the beauty that is Vermont. I almost didn’t want to leave this review because I want to keep it all to myself and book every free weekend they’ve got! I simply cannot wait to return and stay longer next time. “Absolutely LOVED this site! WE were met by Lucy who owns the land. She was so delightful! She gave us tips on things to do and places to eat. All worked out beautifully. We did the Lamoille Rail trail which was great! The site is on a beautiful pond. The bed was so comfortable. It was so peaceful. I could have stayed for days. We will be back! It is one of the most beautiful and well kept properties I have ever seen in Vermont. Thank you Lucy for hosting us! Karen and Ron”
“This is our second stay at Belle Vista this summer. First time was sans kids, the second time with 9 & 13 year olds plus our two dogs. We knew within the first hour of our first stay that we needed to return. Again, Lucy and John are AMAZING hosts. Gracious, easy to get in touch with and can tell you so much about their beautiful property. Our kids did everything from riding bikes, swimming, playing wiffle ball in the field and walking the many trails through the woods. They LOVED their stay and they loved having their own pop-up tent on the other side of the pond away from the adults!
We had the quintessential American camping experience to include scary campfire stories and s’mores. If you’re on the fence about which Tentrr site to stay at, choose this one. You absolutely cannot go wrong.”
“This is the most stunning area for a Tentrr site. Lucy and John are so hospitable and very easy to reach if you need anything for your stay. We can not say enough good things about our stay. I can say that within the first hour of arriving at our site, we immediately reserved another weekend stay. Pictures can never do this property justice. You never have to leave the property and if you do everything you may need is only a quick drive into town. The pond is gorgeous, the views amazing and tons of walking trails throughout the Christmas tree plantation. Simply gorgeous.”
“Beautiful site and nice people. Wish the camp shower had been installed, that John had been wearing a mask when we checked in as Lucy had mentioned he would be, and that the dumpster for camp trash was where we were told it would be upon leaving, but would go back again. Well worth your time.”
“We had the most amazing time! We will definitely be coming back. We thoroughly enjoyed having the space of the tree farm and had wonderful views of fall foliage, mountains, and easy access to mountains and hiking. Lucy was very considerate and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the firewood to keep us warm and any other supplies we needed. The pond on the property would have been wonderful to swim in had we come just a few weeks earlier since it was spring-fed and sparkling clean. All in all just what we needed for a fall escape!”
“We had a wonderful stay at Belle Vista Farm! John and Lucy are super hosts, and their property is absolutely beautiful. We were not far from Lajoie Stables, so we went horseback riding, which was great fun, but we didn't want to be away from our site for too long! We enjoyed our walks on the paths on the property and loved sitting and watching ducks come and go on the spring-fed pond. It was just what we needed, and we hope to book again in the future!”
