Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Toilet was a bucket with leaky kitchen bags. Plastic air mattresses have been replaced with household fabric mattresses that are being leaked on and are visibly moldy. The Tentrr tent itself is completely riddled with black and green mold and has several ceiling holes. Tent has not been cleaned out between guests or maybe even for the season, garbage and other campers' clothing amongst the clutter of cardboard boxes, scattered dome tent pieces and such under and around the bed. Overall, a lot of maintenance issues and Tentrr accommodations missing or substituted for in unsanitary ways. Importantly, this campsite is a quarter mile from where you park so you have to be prepared to hike all of your gear in and out. Owner helping you take your gear in is a last minute thing that may or may not work out. Be aware that the campsite is in a low wetlands/swampy valley.”
“We loved our stay! A great site- private and serene. I cannot stress enough how isolated it is yet such a close drive in to Cooperstown. It was my husband and I and two children that stayed with plenty of room. It rained while here and there was a little leaking but nothing that interfered with our comfort. One suggestion- some sort of side rail for the top bunk! My husband and I had to sleep there so the kids didn’t fall and it made the bed a bit wobbly! But no big deal. HIGHLY recommend.”
“We loved our stay in Cooperstown. The tent location is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, but accessible enough to Cooperstown to enjoy all it has to offer.”
“Great site! The site is set back in a field of goldenrod and wild flowers that were in full bloom in mid-September. It was so beautiful! I loved hearing the wildlife, too. Very cool! Matthew was very accommodating and carted our gear for us when possible. The location was great—just a quick drive into town or to the lake. Highly recommend!”
“We loved our Cooperstown Tentrr site. Matthew and his family were great! And their property was beautiful and adjacent to a hop field. The site was next a willow tree and a creek. We were amazed at how few mosquitos there were. It was also nice that we were able to go out during the day and enjoy some of the local breweries. What an amazing first Tentrr experience!”
“Very nice place, private. The walk from parking to the site was a little farther than we anticipated, it rained the night before so there was an area on the walk that was semi-flooded, bring boots!”
“Great trip with lots to do in Cooperstown. There is a bit of a walk but Matt helps bring down all of your gear with a tractor so transporting of your things is easy. Matt is very involved in the community and has great suggestions about what to do while there. He was also helpful in providing some firewood to get us started. The site itself is well put together and we had an excellent time!”
