Site I is well worth the extra hike in! Beautiful views included waterfall within 100ft of tent, functional dam, river/creek, and the railroad was cool, too! The noise from the railroad was not too bad. We had everything needed for a good experience.

Very nice camp, well maintained, secluded. Option of an All natural shower... a gorgeous little waterfall directly behind the camp. Rock shelter with dry firewood. The 15-20 min hike was made much easier with a little ryder wagon to haul essentials in. Highly recommend this site!

The only down side is that we were not aware that it’s a pretty good hike from the parking area to our campsite. We have a 7 month old baby so it took several trips but the site itself was beautiful. It sits right on the lake below a waterfall. It is very private and the tent is spacious. The camp host was wonderful and very helpful. We plan on going back, but more prepared to bring all of our luggage in!

This was the best camping area there! It was so peaceful and the tent was roomy and clean. I will be coming back again. You do have to walk about 15 minutes so a garden wagon with rubber wheels would be better than the ones we had for hiking.

Wonderful spot with a great view. Glad we picked this spot over the others and the host was super helpful/friendly.

Beautiful spot! Picked up a MacSports wagon for this trip and am so glad (just wish I had gotten the XL!)! That walk from the car gets longer every time you make it. The water jug was a collapsible container and had no cap available and had bugs in it. Luckily, we weren’t depending on it. Toilet situation was fine! To find the trash area, go to the Hawks Nest Lodge area but don’t turn in at either of the entrances to the lodge. The maintenance driveway is just past those driveways. Bed is an actual mattress, not an air mattress - very nice! (No air pump available.)
