“the Tentrr A site was a wonderful, clean, very relaxing place to be.
the path to the site was hard very rocky and muddy, carts provided were all broken and not usable
we had to carry our equipment the mile to the site, we had to make three trips.”
“My car scraped along the asphalt to get down into the parking lot because it has such a strange angle instead of being flush with the road. The website said the hike was a mile, turned out to be over 1.5 miles, which is fine but not what was advertised. The cart provided for hauling items was broken and tires kept getting stuck on itself, making it very difficult to pull. One of the tires fell off while we were hauling things into the site. There was no solar shower, website said there would be. The trash can at the site has bags of human waste in it from previous renters. The path to the site from the trail was not mowed. I understand that this is a camping experience but it could have been way better. We will be visiting Blackwater Falls State Park another time but not using tentrr again.”
“We had a great time! My kids enjoyed being by the water. The falls were amazing and the food and beer at the Blackwater Falls was a treat. Make sure you find out how to get the cart for transporting your heavy stuff to and from the site.”
“Tentrr had not been cleaned from previous guest. Trash was stinky entire cabin was stinky from the toilet being in there when I arrived. Would appreciate a refund or some kind of compensation.”
“My two-night stay at this site was great, and allowed for me to see and hike all around Blackwater State Park and falls which absolutely blew me away. The park and campgrounds itself are phenomenal, and the Tentrr site itself was idyllic once you managed to get there. However, the trek to the site from the parking area was challenging when lugging belongings. I was worried about my not-so-sturdy upright style “granny cart” for hauling all my bedding, food, firewood, toiletries, clothes, etc. and miraculously, there was a VERY heavy duty wagon cart with a Tentrr logo on it at the trailhead when I parked. So I used that; however, it’s not a 15 min walk when carrying things — you are creeping slowly over VERY rocky, sometimes muddy terrain which slows you to about a 35 minute haul, and frankly, no other type of cart would have been able to withstand this. The walks I did back and forth without belongings were much easier.
Basically what I’m saying is, you NEED to have something heavy duty to accommodate your things and they should probably list this as closer to a 30 min trek over challenging terrain.
I can understand negative reviews from past campers who may not have physically been ready for this, or who may have thought more amenities were provided due to past false advertisement which seemingly has been cleared up.
Everything else was wonderful and Tentrr was responsive to all my needs. I would do it again, but this is camping; should not be advertised as “glamping” just because a tent and mattress is provided.”
“The campsite was perfect! It was so nice to not have to set everything up after a long day of rock climbing. The propane heater kept us warm, the bed was comfortable, the stars were so bright with no other light, and seeing the river next to the tent at sunrise was idyllic. The thing that could've been improved was communication. The address we were sent took us to a lodge not affiliated with the campsite. So then we had to borrow a phone with reception to call our contact who then gave us directions over the phone. The directions could've been sent in an email ahead of time or a map attached something so we were knew where it was, because once we parked there wasn't any signage to the campsite until you were right on it, so it was 0.74 miles of wondering when we would find it.”
