James and Debbie's tentrr could not have been more perfect nor our hosts more lovely. Not only do they take care to make sure that the campsite is stocked and guests feel comfortable, but they have an absolutely beautiful property and the tentrr's vista of the mountains is hard to beat. The tentrr is elevated with incredible sunrise views over a small meadow with the forest / Peekskill mountain behind; the land is significant and trees encircle your vicinity; you feel completely alone. (The little building you see below in the photos is an un-used 3-horse stable, not their home.) It was truly the perfect respite! There's a fish-stocked pond by the main home where my dog loved to swim and chase frogs, and a marked loop trial in the woods behind the Tentrr. Plus Roxbury is a special place; we were able to buy all our produce at a fantastic local farmstand, and the town is absolutely lovely. There's also a beautiful Kimchi farm down the road. As far as amenities go, James and Debbie make it so easy -- everything you need to cook, play, relax, sleep; a propane-powered flat-top and a grill rack for the fire was perfect for all our meals. Plenty of lanterns, chairs, a hammock; they really think about what their guests need. Plus for entertainment: cornhole, darts, cards and an INCREDIBLE SKY OF STARS! It's really a dream place, my city dog loved the space to run, and I could just clear my head! I would go back again and again! Thank you James and Debbie!!!!

We had an awesome trip at Hollow. The host family is super responsive and helpful. The camp site is super clean and the host family really took the extra miles to prepare the tent with everything you nee for the trip (utensils, clean bed sheets, camping lights, board games and so much more), Debbie even provided us propane heater which makes our life so much better as it does get chilling at night during the fall. The experience staying at hollow is phenomenal, the star gazing at night with camp fire at the side and the Sun rise next morning already worth the price. There are also many nice hiking trails nearby which we really enjoyed. Overall a lovely place to go and strongly recommended!

We had an excellent weekend at the Hollow! There were four of us, initially two of us slept in the extra tent but we moved to the floor of the main tent for the second night as the raised platform was more even. Debbie and Jim provided extra firewood, a propane stove and all the utensils/cookware we needed to cook using both the stove and our campfire. We were able to drive our car right up to the campsite which was convenient. There is an outhouse but depending on what you're used to camping-wise, it was easier to just walk into the woods behind the campsite rather than mess with the sani-bags every time. There's a sweet little pond on the property where you can swim, including a small wooden dock for getting into the water. We visited in mid August and the water was just perfect. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

Amazing! They were so nice and very helpful, the view was beautiful and the pond was lovely to fish in. I would absolutely stay here again. There was so much wood we had enough for big fires the whole weekend.

Spectacular setting, across a flower laden field, with a little red barn, across a valley to cascading mountains. Debbie and Jimmy are very accommodating and have stocked the site above and beyond what it typical.

The Hollow was awesome. He really truly had everything we needed, it was almost too convenient! The views were incredible and fishing in his pond was serene and peaceful. A perfect weekend getaway!
