Nice location. Friendly hosts. Your car is about a 10 minute walk from the campsite. It's rustic-no bathrooms or running water. Beautiful location. Plenty of privacy and a fabulous location if you want to go to the mystic ct or New London area. As long as you bring everything you need, its

Ok, first off, this site is amazing! Secluded, quiet, and everything we were looking for on our quiet get away weekend. Courtney and Bryan were awesome. I didn't realize the extent of the climb to the site when we got there. When we got to the top with the cooler and we're about to die, I texted Courtney to ask for assistance in getting our massive amounts of stuff to our site, and minutes later Bryan was there with a four wheeler and a trailer. Saved us incredible amounts of time and and energy. Upon getting set up and listening to the nothing for a while, we revelled in the sounds of nature and walked down to meet the farm animals. Ollie, the Great Pyrenees watching over the chickens was the highlight of the trip. He was a huge gentle giant who loved to snuggle. Chickens were adorable and the sheep were awesome. A bit standoffish, but midnight was super friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our weekend getaway, and Courtney and Bryan were awesome! We will definitely be back!

"My good friend and I used the spot as a midway point between NYC and Cape Cod to rendezvous for a male bonding weekend amid the global pandemic. IT WAS PERFECT! The site was spacious enough for us to set up two tents and have room to move about/socially distance. For example, I was able to hang a hammock and read while my friend took a private call all in the comfort privacy of our own campsite. I took my dogs for long walks on some of the private trials. We cooked by the campfire and made scrambled eggs using farm fresh eggs purchased right there on the farm (we both even took some home with us). I HIGHLY recommend it!!! With blessings, we were allowed to forage for firewood, which was super easy and close to the site which was a HUGE bonus for night campfires! Bryan & Courtney are EXCELLENT hosts! They communicate easily, effectively, and promptly. They gave us space and we're happy to help when we needed/asked for it and even let my dog tryout his herding skills with their sheep. Oh how could I forget the animals, they have some of the cutest ever farm animal ever, plus great wildlife. I saw my first hummingbird and my friend saw a fox carrying a bunny...SO COOL!!!!!! For a couple of city slickers, this was exactly what the doctor ordered. The nice thing about the setting is that as it's on a granite meadow so not a lot of bugs or poison ivy or such to worry about at the site. There are these great moss beds that almost feel like a carpet on your feet (I recommend running your toes in them). The one small thing to take into consideration is that you can NOT stake into the ground so don't take a tent that requires stakes for structure (ie. a Kodiac) our you're going to be out of luck. On the whole, I can recommend this site more!!!! Thanks for everything Bryan & Courtney you guys rock I hope to see you again soon!

We enjoyed our stay! Courtney was wonderful making sure we were prepared pre-stay. They helped us lug our stuff up to the site which was an awesome bonus :) The site was as advertised and we used the kayak rental option. Everything was in good repair, plenty of firewood to be had too. We loved waking up with the farm animals and are convinced that their peacock did the bird calls for Kevin in the movie Up.

We had a great 4th of July weekend at the granite meadow. While we spent a majority of our time at the campsite relaxing in the sun, there were lots of lush trails to hike and the pond offered a nice place to sit on a kayak. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive. They helped us get our gear up to the site (which is a short, uphill hike from where you park) and back down at the end of our stay. We will definitely be back!

Great campsite and wonderful hosts. Courtney and her husband Bryan were super helpful and nice. The site was perfect for a weekend getaway with our four children. Lots of trails to explore for hikes. Kids weren’t used to pond swimming so took advantage of the kayaking instead, and they really enjoyed that. Fire pit on the rock felt extra safe. Lots of fire wood available, and already at the campsite when we arrived. Added bonus of being able to buy fresh eggs and meat from the farm. The friendly peacock became a family pet of sorts. We even came up with a name for him, and missed him as soon as we left. Farm animals were entertaining. Courtney and Bryan were helpful when it came to recommendations for area beaches and eateries when we ventured out. Bryan hauled our camping equipment up the hill for us when we arrived and back when we were leaving. That was a big help. If you have a large group, a couple of tents might be on a slight slope, but otherwise the rock surface was fine even if tents couldn’t be anchored fully. They didn’t move. Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock worth a stop on the way in or if looking for an outing. Rocky Neck State park beach only about 20 minutes away. Others are also nearby. We look forward to returning to this campsite. Had a blast.
