Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“This campsite can only be described as idyllic, in a shady grove with a babbling river running just feet from the tent. It's a very quiet and remote location – we didn't hear any of the traffic another reviewer mentioned. The site is up against 2-3 other properties so we did see the neighbors strolling near us a few times, and once using a riding mower/CAT on their yard, but it was otherwise quite secluded.
There is a lovely fresh breeze coming off the river. It's in the shade so can get a little chilly. We observed lots of interesting flora and fauna, like frogs, toads, crows, chipmunks, and strange fungi, but there are surprisingly few mosquitos which was awesome!
We also had a great time hanging out in North Adams, which although being deep in the country, has all the amenities of the city, like galleries, dispensaries, an awesome antique store etc. It is centered around the art museum so there seems to be a thriving community with a lot of artists lofts.”
“We have stayed at Tentrr's before that were amazing in the past. This Tentrr seemed to be pretty neglected. Before booking I read all of the great reviews on the website, clicked through the photos many times in excitement but all of us ended up disappointed when arriving. The tent was not cleaned out and was filled with mold. The fireplace stove was moldy rusted and lopsided, even the tongs they provided us were broken. With looking at the photos advertised on the page you'll see stacks and stacks of wood provided. After we lugged all of our gear to camp- the owner, (who I do admit was super nice) mentioned we were free to take some of the wood at the entrance. We then had to hike back the steep uphill climb and carry 30lbs of wood back to our camp..(even if we did bring a wagon it would had still been a rough hike) Everything was wet which yes is not the owners fault and im sure is different during different seasons, but if you think you'll get any sun rays and relaxation you won't, The shaded area was just always.. the only word for it is Moist. The only way to get to the river is to climb up and down a steep ridge, which wasn't fun either lol. Overall, the relaxing trip we all expected was just kinda a waste of time and money. We stayed positive and made the best of it but overall nothing about this camp was relaxing or comfortable.”
“Very nice campsite by a creek. As mentioned, you can sometimes hear traffic, though barely, over the babble of the creek. You're pretty far from the main house which is nice.
A wheeled cooler and/or cart is a good idea, the walk down is on an easy path but far enough to be annoying if you had to carry your cooler. If it's rained recently there, bring your own firewood, foraging down there was a bit tough as it was all still damp and doesn't get much direct sunlight.
Tent totally functional, kept us dry, but was a bit tired and mildewy. Air mattresses on bunks worked well, top one deflates over night a bit (not a big deal), bottom one doesn't quite fit in the bed, but does the job. Wasn't super clean when we got there, but a quick sweep got it looking good.
Hosts weren't responsive, sent 2 messages, one hello, one question and didn't hear back. No biggie, but when walking deep into someone's property, you want to know it's the right property!”
“Lovely camp keepers. Beautiful location - went twice this past summer and it was a welcome and safe brief escape from NYC while the pandemic was raging. Will be back again this summer too!”
“I stayed a whole week at this beautiful & peaceful sight! It was amazing!! Ethan & Deborah were very hospitable & responsive, while ensuring to respect my privacy, which was very thoughtful & appreciated. So glad I brought my wheeled cart to bring my items up and down the gorgeous & well manicured hill. You’ll LOVE staying here and enjoying the babbling brook & peaceful surroundings. Thanks again Ethan & Deborah!! Can’t wait to stay again!!”
“Beautiful, private campsite that was perfect for some time away! Plenty of woods & stream to explore but also only about 10 mins to some great culture as well!”
“The campsite was in a beautiful and secluded location very convenient to North Adams. The tent is showing a little wear (the zipper for the screened entrance is broken) but overall, it was as advertised. It was also little difficult to get in touch with the hosts prior to the day of my arrival, but they were responsive once I was at camp.”
