“The site is beautiful and the camp is very well stocked. We loved the privacy and easy access to the site. I didn't get a chance to meet the campkeeper, but he was extremely communicative and quick to reply addressing any questions and concerns. We unfortunately booked this during a terrible heatwave (in the 100s)-- so we didn't see any horses :( which was one of the reasons we booked this site. The areas is great with lots of watering holes to swim (20 min drive) and the Westtown Brewery is gorgeous.
The only reason I give this 4 stars and not 5 is that the tent screen had been eaten by possibly a squirrel (??) so we couldn't open the tent all the way up to let in cool air. I definitely suggest getting that fixed or letting campers know, and on our second day, when we went to refill water the hose was turned off so we couldn't refill water with 97 degree temps. We were eventually able to find someone to reluctantly help and campkeeper responded via tentrr system (he did have his number on a sign in the tent, but it had fallen behind a cabinet!) In the end it was fine, but I feel like if you have a family camping on your site when it's in the 100s you would make sure the water was on and that the tent could be opened up.
That all said, I would recommend this site and campkeeper just don't go during a heatwave! duh!”
“The campsite was absolutely beautiful. It felt very isolated and private. The pictures really don’t do it justice—the meadow & property were wonderful. Marshall was there to greet us & answer any questions we had. We did go to the Warwick drive in which was a really fun outing and Warwick was really cute! We enjoyed walking around some trails on the property too. Would definitely return!”
“We had a lovely two night stay at Camp Coal Tree. Upon
arrival we met our friendly host, Marshall, who gave us a good lay of
the land and was very available throughout our stay. The camp sits at
the top of a secluded field, extremely private with an easy drive up to
the tent -- exactly what we were looking for. The farm is nearby a
number of great spots and we spent the days hiking around the Delaware
River, swimming in High Point State Park, eating in Millford and sipping
at Westtown Brew Works. One night we even heard the sounds of a local
bluegrass band quietly floating over the fields and forests. The farm
itself is beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies to check out and
horses to greet - our daughter especially liked them. We'd love to
be back and recommend this spot to you!”
