Highly recommend adding on the linen package and fire bundle for an even more relaxing stay—but be sure to bring an extra blanket for colder nights.”
“Big wood was truly camping at it’s finest. We were greatly warmly right away by the family. The campsite is a 2min walk from the parking spot. This tentrr site is just perfect! From the tent itself to stocked with all those silly camping essentials you always forget. We came for a birthday and they were kind enough to have balloons and a banner hanging in the tent for us! We did get the sheets package, ice and wood...absolutely worth it. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend under the beautiful stars big wood is perfect!”
“Wow! This campsite is amazing and the property is beyond beautiful. The location is very private and the surrounding woods and meadows are great to explore (no critter sightings for us though we definitely heard them!). The site was well stocked and we loved the decorations that made it feel very welcoming.
We were able to see an amazing display of stars and even happened to catch a meteor shower during the one night we stayed. The early morning fog and clouds along with the sunrise made for one of the coolest experiences I've had in nature that I won't ever forgot. Our group cannot wait to return.
To top it off, down by their house, there is a nice barn, a honey house with their homemade goods, the beehives, and lots of chickens. There's also great views of the surrounding hills.
Felicia was incredibly kind and welcoming and we got to speak with her quite a bit as we hung around the barn area after packing out the site. She has 2 adorable kids as well and my son had fun running around with them.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Big Wood camp! Felicia is an amazing host, very reactive to any of our needs. She did not hesitate to get into her car and pick us up as we got a bit lost in the vicinity getting there. The camp is absolutely lovely with a beautiful little forest behind the camp, they also have chicken, a beehive and a little shop with delicious honey and jelly, a perfect stay for our little family with a young child. We were also pleasantly surprised to see that Felicia had provided her camp with much more amenities than what tentrr promised: plates, ustensils, skillet, teapot, sheets, pillows, candles, flashlights and a lantern, even a wine opener! Felicia also decorated the camp site to make it very cosy and homey. We are definitely going back again! Thank you!”
“One of the best experiences I have ever had in nature. Definitely going to go back again. The host, felicia, was amazing, and extremely accommodating to any and every request my friend and I had during our stay at big wood. During our stay we thought we might need extra fire wood and weren't sure if we should contact felicia as It was getting later in the day. Not only did she answer us but she was able to provide us with more firewood in a very quick amount of time. A concern of ours prior to our trip was if the tent would be able to keep us warm over night and we were pleasantly surprised with how warm we were able to stay and how comfortable the accomodations were in the tent. After our stay the homestead had a little shop where we picked up some homemade gifts and local honey. The campsite was spotless, and we loved the extras! Me and my friend got creative and made a pizza on the firepit. The nature was beautiful, host was FANTASTIC , we are thinking about coming again and bringing our friends... Would HIGHLY recommend 100/10.”
