“Awful! We arrived at 5pm and the site was not prepared. there was trash everywhere and it smelled bad. there was no water, no nothing and Ricardo was not responsive at all. we actually had to cancel this reservation and change our destination right-away. I do not recommend this option at all.”
“Wasn’t cleaned, no shower or water , owner doesn’t answer the phone took me 1 hr to find it a neighbor told me where it is. The next day the owner showed up and didn’t know we even rented so we slept on someone else’s old bed”
“Pros: Great site for a big group. Lots of great trails on the property and very private. Cool treehouse in construction behind the site. Close to lots of great lakes/beaches to visit. Lots of chairs/tables everything you need.
Negatives: Couldn't reach the campkeeper and when we got there the garbage from the previous group was still tied up at the site so was unclear where to put garbage. The dome tent was packed up inside the platform tent but covered in ants from the previous guest so couldn't be used. The camp bins need cleaning out as they had a lot of refuse from previous guests/was difficult to find the tent loo bags.”
“Federico was responsive and helpful with directions. When we arrived we were disappointed to find used toilet paper in the "tent loos" buckets and also A LOT of used toilet paper clumps behind the tent. The previous campers must've gone behind the tent to use the bathroom and just left the TP on the ground. It was gross. In addition to that, there was other random trash lying around including Hershey wrappers and a large cardboard box. We cleaned up the trash but not the used TP. One of the legs on the grill grate was broken off so it made it really difficult to cook over the fire. I was disappointed that this site advertises a "sun shower" but there is no access to water anywhere.
Although we were frustrated with the above items, the campsite is on a secluded site surrounded by wonderful walking trails and a cute town with everything you could possibly need. If the host would keep the campsite in better condition, I can't imagine a better spot to go camping close to NYC.”
“Nice place, very friendly staff. The Tentrr site is nice and the interior of the tent is amazingly beautiful and comfortable. Owner brought in a cute retro camper for our large party, which was great. Freshly painted and redone. Unfortunately however, the mattress in the camper proved to be old and very uncomfortable.”
“We have been using Tentrr for years, and this is hands down our favorite location. The perfect combination of accessible with that feeling of peaceful isolation. Amazing host and amazing spot nestled behind a natural embankment. We will visit again! ”
