“I went with my boyfriend and two best friends to this site for my birthday. We only stayed one night and we wish we had stayed one more night. The property the site is on is beautifully upkept by the owner. There was a vacant ski jump across the street and we spent the day exploring that. There were trails all around and a small town close by. The Tentrr bunks were comfortable and we felt very welcomed by the host, yet we only saw her during checkout unless necessary. We had a lovely experience and we would definitely come again to explore more of the ski jump.”
“Stay was great. Serena was a really nice host. Negatives were we weren’t really provided fire wood. Not a huge deal bc we collected in the morning ourselves and dried it out in the sun..but when you’re paying $175/night for a site it would be nice to come w the wood it is supposed to.
Other thing to note is this camp site is really split in to two different locations a. There is the tent w a picnic table and campfire set up but this is not the site for actual cooking. The cooking campfire was adjacent to the swimming hole. This is done bc of the black bears in the area which is understandable. Just wouldn’t have liked that detail prior to booking.
As stated above the stay was great, property was bucolic and Serena couldn’t have been kinder.”
“It was too rainy to stay in the tent during my scheduled stay, the hosts were gracious enough to offer a stay in their guest house which was a godsend. Very nice and hospitable folks.”
“The location is perfect, within walking distance to the Appalachian Trail and close to restaurants/shopping. The tent was comfortable, other than the squeaky air mattresses. Much more was provided to us than I had expected - fresh water was at the site, dishwashing bin & soap, toilet paper, lantern and lots of wood. Serena greeted us when we arrived and provided a map and directions for our hike. The cooking fire is located a little ways away from the tent but worth the short walk since it is down by a nice stream with an area to swim if the weather is nice. I would definitely recommend this site.”
“Really cool spot, easy to find, host was great. If we were to critique it would be in previous guests as we found some broken glass in the little swimming river. Clearly not the fault of the host but it's a shame guest's can be so disrespectful”
“It was absolutely beautiful, the area, the property, the campsite and the brook. The ambience was peaceful and calming. We enjoyed our one night stay! The camp keeper is so sweet and came to say hi. But she let us do our thing and didn’t keep checking in which was nice. Would love to stay there again, next time it will be more than one night. Totally worth $150 for the night”
“I highly recommend this idyllic campsite. It was perfect for my 5 and 7 year old. We loved having dinner alongside our own private watering hole. There are so many nicely manicured trails to explore. You feel secluded but Serena is right nearby to answer questions and the town of Salisbury is very close. We'd like to go back and bring our bikes so we can quickly ride in and out of town. (You could walk it in about 10-15 minutes on very safe roads.) And the ski jump was so cool to see. We'll be back. Thank you Serena!”
