“This is a great site. Tim the camp keeper was friendly and helpful. The campsite was private (no other people around) and absolutely beautiful. We will certainly be coming back here.
One note to keep in mind - the way up to the site can be a little tricky for some cars to get up there. It's a hill with some tricky parts to get over. If you're able to arrive with a 4 wheel drive vehicle that would be recommended. Having said that, we made it up with Tim's help and it didn't stop us from having a great stay.”
“A perfect stay! We contacted Tim super late / last minute and he immediately welcomed us with open arms and set up the Tentrr so cozily. We stayed during a storm and got to experience a candle lit, warm and safe stay in the middle of the mountains and it was a great adventure. The Tentrr was perfectly clean, totally accessible and in the morning we got to enjoy the sun and remote location, went hiking and Tim even left us coffee.

“This was my husband and I’s first Tentrr experience and Shady Knolls didn’t disappoint! On arrival, we were greeted by Tim who is a clear communicator and showed us what to know about the site. It is evident that Tim & his wife Kim put a lot of attention to detail in their campsite. From the fully stocked kitchen, the cozy bedding and decorative touches you will instantly feel at home and at peace knowing you have all you need! I’m a Superhost in the area as well and I know those touched are only present when the host loves what they do and the guest experience is of utmost importance. Which is always appreciated! The site is secluded, private and has a beautiful and calming view of sugar loaf mountain. The outdoor deck is a great spot for morning coffee/tea, reading or some yoga. We easily cooked our meals and enjoyed drinks around the firepit at night. The tent has a comfortable queen bed and stayed completely dry when it rained during the night. Overall, a perfect ‘glamping’ experience. Stay here! All you have to do in bring food and relax & unwind ;) We hope to be back for a stay-cation early Fall.”
“Gorgeous view and very well-stocked site. My family had a blast hiking local trails, grilling and enjoying the solitude. Recommend bringing a 4-wheel drive for the last stretch to site, especially after rain.”
