My husband and I camped here with our dog for the weekend. This place is magnificent. Scott clearly loves his land and takes care of it. The hiking trails were great. Usually when a place lists hiking trails they are more of a walking path. These were well maintained and at times just the right kind of challenging hikes. We loved camping on the water and using the swimming hole. This place does not disappoint. We loved everything about this special place and we can't wait to come back! Camping here was a gift.”
“Scott and Christina’s Bear Creek Hideaway was a fantastic experience. The site itself was well equipped and spotless with lots of thought given to the layout for both ease of use and safety. Scott was a gem - friendly and cordial upon our arrival and spot on when it came to replenishing water and fire wood.
The nearby trails, creek and waterfall provided tons of activities for us. Definitely bring some trekking poles or use some sticks since the terrain can be surprisingly challenging, but nothing felt better than hopping into the waterfall pool or creek to cool off.
We didn’t have any issues with insects or wildlife, but we used a lot of repellent and kept the site clean.
We’ll definitely be coming back to try some of Scott’ and Christina’s other campsites. I hope others give this excellent site a try. You will not be disappointed.”
“The stay was beautiful, the site was very well equipped. The hosts are warm and inviting. The property is stunning. Hiking trails are clearly marked and not too straining. Would definitely stay again. Can't say enough about how nice and easy the stay was. The town was also very accommodating. Lots to do on the water as well as historical sites to visit.”
