Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“The site was nice, the meadow overlook was beautiful. to be clear, there are other people in close vicinity. Not as secluded as other tenttr’s. I loved the hike to the stream being right on site. Overall close to town and nice amenities/ information listed at the site. It’s a good concept. I wish the host was a little more interactive with the tours that he advertised on his page and on the information sheet at the site. Didn’t like to have to check in at the welcome center to get more water or wood on whatever the host’s availability was. Would have preferred to access these material ourselves. We ended up buying water and wood from a local vendor that was more in line with our availability. Considering the cost of staying here water and wood should have been more easily accessible, but it is what it is!”
“Feeling overwhelmed? We highly recommend taking some time from the hustle and bustle of life and staying at Haven. The pictures do not to it justice! Our tent and camp was super clean- we were greeted with friendly smile upon checking in and found a beautiful vase of fresh wild flowers and welcome note inside our tent. Our camp keeper- Lester provided us with drinking water, dry wood for the wood stove and a fire grate - none of which we were expecting at our camp area.
We loved how quiet and secluded we were, even though we weren’t far from others. How often do you see the Milkyway? There’s zero light pollution, so the amount of stars you can see is amazing even in a partly cloudy night.
There’s a beautiful easy trail that leads to a small stream and the Haven store isn’t far- just a few minutes to town- it’s a must to check out.
We look forward to coming back this spring!
Side note- our gps didn’t take us far enough. We fell short about a quarter mile. The Haven sign is easy to see from the road, so it wasn’t hard to find the entrance regardless of the gps oopsie.”
“The site is lovely, everything promised is there in addition to some extras (paper towels, salt and pepper, and a little light for the fire pit)). The tent is a bit old/stained but still does it’s job, although the bottom allows enough space for a raccoon to venture inside (true story). Get ready to drive hills and navigate some windy/bumpy roads.”
“We had a great time at Camp Haven. The site was beautiful and well maintained, and the staff were very accommodating with extra fire wood and garbage disposal. Would definitely recommend!”
“Amazing spot with stunning views, comfortable bed, tons of things to do nearby and food options nearby. Probably not what campers are looking for but the area had some of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. Just play some chill tunes and enjoy the beautiful drive leading up to your tentrr”
“This was far and away the most relaxing camping experience we have ever had. We arrived after dark but the site was easy to find and the hosts had graciously already started a fire in our wood stove. It was amazing! The bed was super comfortable and the tent enormous! We had space to spread out and had enough room to set up our camp chairs near the stove and have a kind of "living room". Sleeping in a tent with wood stove heat was peak luxury. You do have to maintain it throughout the night but that is just a wood stove being a wood stove. The view is one for the books- especially with the fall foliage. Absolutely incredible waking up to it. The yard area is big enough to bring some cornhole boards if ya got em! The hosts had massive boxes of firewood/kindle you can purchase for a very reasonable price and they provided plenty of drinking water. The tentrr site is about a ten minute drive from Catskill Brewery which was delightful to incorporate. And the camp hosts have a market where they sell the goods they farm! Couldn't recommend this enough for a weekend getaway. It was so so fun and relaxing. Thank you to our hosts for creating this space!!”
