We loved our stay at Hopeland Rest! It was perfectly tucked away in the woods so that we felt like we were escaping from the city. The campsite and tent were well maintained and we had wood and water waiting for us. We went to Fishkill Farm on our way out of town and picked strawberries. It was a great recommendation! We would definitely stay again and recommend it to other campers.

Had a great time at Hopeland Rest! Easy trip from NYC so perfect for a weekend get-away. Nice wooded area and easy walk (less than a mile) to get to the appalachian trail. Thanks for the hospitality.

First time as a tentrr. Love to camp in the backcountry and at some campgrounds, but there is something to be said for an easy to get to secluded spot with no drunks or screaming 6 year olds. Peaceful location, responsive campkeepers, large tent, great set up, super night. Looking forward to returning soon

First off - we loved the campsite! We made a fun little hammock village out of 3 trees close together near the Tentrr, hung around the campfire quite a bit and did a couple of day trips to Beacon, NY and Fishkill Farms over the weekend we stayed at Hopeland Rest. The campsite was secluded but close enough to town where we didn't feel too far away from civilization. One note about the site - take it easy going down the path with your car! As far as our hosts go, Pat & Christine were the best - extremely responsive and eager to help. We absolutely loved it and are already planning our next trip back! :)

This was our first time using Tentrr and it was fantastic! Pat helped us find the site and was readily available if we needed him. The site was very nice! We had a great night and hiked through the Appalachian trail afterwards.

First time campers and will definitely be back. The Appalachian Trail hike isn't too long so you'll need to supplement some time in that day. Also, the morning of departure you should go into Beacon and Fishkill Farms.

Hopeland Rest was all we could have asked for and more. The site was beautiful and secluded. The turnoff isn't easily visible, but the owners give perfect directions. The site has such good tree cover that we barely felt the intermittent showers and were able to keep our fire going throughout. It's an ideal location for going into Beacon and great area hikes (day hikes on the AT, Mt Beacon, Breakneck Ridge, etc). We would highly recommend and will be back!

We brought our two young daughters on their first camping trip to Hopeland Rest and it was a huge success. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The site itself was well maintained and the hosts provided helpful information and some useful extras that we didn't expect. Glad we had our SUV for getting down the two-track road and glad we brought our own camp chairs for sitting around the fire. We would definitely recommend this site and would go back again sometime.
