This was one of the best weekends! The grounds were beautiful and fall foliage was on point. Erika and her husband were so welcoming and helpful! We went to a local winery and were obsessed. They had wine, beers, make your own cheese boards, and more. We lucked out on weather except for late Saturday night into Sunday it rained. We were dry as can be in the tent so really there wasn't any issues. Would highly recommend this site to anyone interested in Tentrr.

Wonderful spot in the forest. The tent is near a babbling stream - we even got to dip into it. Highly recommend getting farm fresh local products at Farmer's Daughter in Otisville also try lovely lunch at Bashakill Vineyards.

Absolutely loved our stay at Winterton and the gorgeous surrounding areas. All amenities were available and in decent shape. Beautiful location right on the Shawagunk Kill. Can fish for sunnies and carp and crayfish. I would've liked to have had a machete to clear out the grasses which grow wildly along the areas you would like to walk and the little islands in the stream. Bugs were normal. A lot of tree cover. Hosts were available, friendly and especially helpful. Our favorite day trip was to Bashakill Wildlife Refuge. A beautiful large marsh with very fun, easy trails. Great for dogs (the dogs did well at the campsite, too). Park at the refuge across from the Vineyards and then visit the gorgeous vineyard. My wife said the Red Fox was delicious and especially high quality for NY. At the campsite, frogs sang us to sleep and thousands of fireflies dotted the forest air. My daughter thought for a moment we were in the sky with the stars.

We absolutely loved Camp Winterton! We opted for the unlimited wood package, which was well worth it. The wood was split and dry. The tent and beds were very comfortable. All of the supplies listed were present and in good condition. The location of the site is absolutely gorgeous. We visited Bashakill Vineyards, and would highly recommend it. The camp keepers, Erika and Kent, were very helpful and pleasant. The weather was chilly at night, but the wood stove in the tent allowed us to quickly warm it up. Our group ranged from more experienced campers to relative newcomers, and everyone had a blast. I would absolutely recommend Winterton to anyone and hope to return in the future!

This was our first Tentrr experience - we figured since we had a 4-year-old and an 18-month-old it would be best to ease into camping. Winterton was fantastic. Erika (host) and crew couldn’t have been more welcoming or more helpful. We can’t recommend Camp Winterton or the Tentrr set-up enough, especially if you have little guys or you aren’t Bear Grylls.

Love love love this campsite. You drive through a farm too get to it, passing adorable deer and lavender fields. It is full of personality and features the roots of an overturned tree and a crisp watering hole that we played in everyday. Kent and Erika were super helpful with their suggestions and delivered wood and lavender. Everything is set up so you can start relaxing immediately. It is really perfect for a weekend out of the city.

We had a wonderful time at Camp Winterton. We enjoyed the quiet, secluded spot in the woods, exploring the and swimming in the stream right outside the tent, and we definitely enjoyed the tasty maple syrup made by our gracious hosts. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and we had a very good camping experience overall.

This was our first Tentrr experience and it was wonderful. We had no idea what to expect but the site was clean and well stocked with all necessities. Mother nature tried to thrown a wrench in our plans but the site was well situated to protect us from the rain. So although it did rain, we really weren’t to inconvenienced by it. Everything under the tent kept dry and we were even able to have our camp fire and s’mores. Erika and her family are amazing hosts and we had no trouble communicating with them.
