We had an incredible first tentrr experience. The land is just a minute's drive off the road, but feels as isolated as if it were miles away. The campsite was perfectly set up upon our arrival, and John kindly showed us around. This setup is ideal for both expert and novice campers, and doesn't require much planning ahead of time, as John has many trail guides and to-do books waiting for you at the site. I will definitely be a repeat "tentrr'r"but this first experience will be hard to top. P.S. I accidentally left a windbreaker behind and John kindly shipped it back to me free of charge upon finding it later at the site.

John and AC were perfect hosts and made our stay as comfortable as could be. We had incredible weather and the campsite is perfectly situated between several trail heads and close to Phoenicia and other amenities. It was a great weekend and the private stream with a swimming hole was a major highlight. We would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone, it's a magical place!

This was our first Tentrr experience and it did not disappoint.  The site is set on a 120-acres property in a beautiful river valley between 2 mountain ridges.  The site itself is huge and gorgeous.  A big open field surrounded by dense trees — and you have it all to yourself.  You have access to a really nice creek with a pretty deep spot to go splash around in.  The tent, cooking area, fire pit, BBQ grill, outhouse, outdoor shower are all really nicely laid out and well maintained.  And John, AC and their family are all super friendly and helpful, without being intrusive in the slightest.  It was great.  Highly recommend!

John and A.C. Were the best hosts! John has literally thought of every detail and impressed us with all the extras. They have such a wonderful property and picturesque camp site. We were they’re last group for the 2018 season, the fall foliage was at its peak. The site is very spacious with more than enough room to sit and chat or run around and play games. There’s no other place to stay! Hoping they’ll host us again next year!

Wonderful campsite and John and AC were very helpful, responsive, generous hosts who we felt went the “extra mile” to make our stay smooth and comfortable. The site is woodsy and right beside a couple nice streams (with some land/woods buffer), which our boys loved playing in. Clean and orderly facilities, and plenty of firewood provided. The location is only 10-15 mins past Phoenicia, so accessible while feeling secluded.

The description and reviews are accurate... this is a peaceful, forest valley clearing with views, mixed with the welcome sound of running streams... impressed by the thoughtful effort and details by the camp owners...

The site is so cool, it's literally over the river and through the woods, beautifully nestled into the Catskills! The property owners were very accommodating and kind. We had the most perfect weekend "glamping", visiting Kaaterskills Falls and the Slide Mountain hike as well! Wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10 - Could have stayed forever!

Wonderful site with a great creek nearby. First time camping with our 3-year-old, and we couldn’t have picked a better setup & location. The Catskills area is so beautiful — so much history, with a fun and whimsical vibe. We spent nights cooking on the fire and enjoying the millions of stars. John made us feel welcome, and provided many thoughtful additions to the camp — firewood, fantastic fire pit, info on the surrounding area, directions to places of interest. (The outhouse was an unexpected luxury!) We would definitely return and recommend, especially to groups with first-time campers.
