“Great location with absolutely lovely hiking trails, stream and waterfall.
We weren’t really bothered by the roas noise. It was actually very convenient to get pizza for the dinner and coffee for the morning 2 miles away. Definitely coming back!”
“We had a great time. Tent site is private and a great peaceful location. The road to the site is in great condition even tho it’s unpaved, we could still drive a Jetta with no issues.

“Enjoyed our first tentrr experience here!
Although it intermittently rained during our 2-night stay here we absolutely had a marvelous time here. Mother nature made sure that after every rainfall the sun would show up and dried our things up. The canvas tent protected us from the heavy downpour at night. My kids enjoyed the stream which is a few steps from the tent. I have a toddler so I wanted a body of water that is shallow. We just stayed on the property and hiked to look for the falls but unfortunately even if it rained there wasn’t any waterfalls on the rocks and cliffs. There was one instance when we saw a couple with kids walking along the stream. I thought they were from the sister site but when we hiked two hours later and saw the other camp site it wasn’t occupied at all.
We had an SUV so we were able to park beside the tent. The pathway going to the site is hilly.
There’s a Dollar General and a town grocery nearby. That’s where we got extra firewood and ice. The chinese takeout at that area is good.
All in all I highly recommend this listing most especially for first-timers.”

“The campsite was a wonderful place to stay for a few nights. Clean, with a great supply box and the campkeeper, Jim, was super responsive when an item was missing. Really enjoyed staying here and have recommended it to a few friends.”
“My daughter and I had a nice time together at this site. It is very secluded. Yes, you can hear cars from a nearby road, but it isnt terrible at all. There were plenty of deer walking around, and a cute creek nearby. We couldn't find the falls, even with the map. My only issue with this site is- if it's raining or if the ground is wet you have to park your car at the top of a hill, which is quite a walk to the campsite with gear. Stores are a 6 minute drive away ( including a liquor store, gas stations, a pizzeria and a dollar general). We took a day trip to nearby kingspoint beach, which was nice. The tent got very hot, which made it difficult to sleep at night-so bring a battery operated fan if you can. Definitely bring some bug spray. Have fun exploring!!”
“We loved our trip! The site was well maintained and comfortable, with our CampKeeper Jim available to answer any questions or concerns. As stated in other reviews, the site was beautiful but a bit noisy from road traffic. If you’re looking for a site for ultimate relaxation and isolation away from hustle this might not be it - but it’s great to use as a homebase for venturing to local hiking spots. Towns of High Falls, Rosendale, and New Paltz nearby with lots of charming spots. Thank you!”
“Great private spot and the stream is very nice. A busy road is up a steep bank on the other side of the stream so there was constant background road noise while we were there. It rained on Sunday and the tent and wood stove were fantastic to give us a leisurely morning. We did park the cars at the top of the hill and had pre-packed the non essentials so all we had to carry out was our bedding. I would not have wanted to try to get up the hill in the slippery roadway!”
