“5 out of 5! Fast response right from the beginning, great directions and very helpful. When we arrived everything was super clean and organized and besides our clothes there was no need to even unpack our gear, everything our family needed was already set up. The view and the privacy from the property was way more than we expected, and to have the options of the sea kayaks or paddle boats, we couldn't stay off the water. And we also had to take them up on the delivered fresh lobsters! what a great stay here and even though our family likes to always try new places to see what's out there, we want to return every year to this rental. the only thing we would have done differently would be to have stayed more than 2 nights. Thank you again very much Claire and Micah!!!”
“We had a wonderful stay at this picturesque tent site! The property is absolutely stunning - a secluded slice of the Maine coast all to yourself. Claire was a great host and incredibly responsive, from sending clear directions in advance to checking in throughout our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. The kayaks were a really nice perk and we spent an entire morning paddling around the nearby islands during high tide. We brought a propane camp stove which made cooking easier (especially in the morning), but there are a couple of general stores on Owl's Head that you could pop out to and plenty of restaurants 15 min away in Rockland if you prefer not to cook. Overall, an amazing, relaxing experience and a place we would definitely come back to!”
“WOW. Not sure where to begin. Our stay at Tideside was absolutely first rate. First off, Claire and Micah, the thoughtful camp keepers were so wonderful to deal with. They poured so much heart, energy and detail into this wonderful site. It truly was magical. We were two families (4 adults and 4 kiddos (2, 8 yr olds and 2 almost 6 yrs olds) and spent 5 days at Tideside. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome basket filled with a ton of Maine goodies and...magical flames - colorful packets you throw in the bonfire that the kids loved later that night. The site was just beautiful. It had everything you could need. The view, the amenities, etc. There was plenty of fresh water to pump on the property (kids had a blast taking turns on who got to do it), plenty of firewood, kindling, chairs, cooking utensils, grates for cooking over fire, etc. Our family stayed in the Tideside Wave Cabin (which was absolutely adorable, by the way) with our two kids. The view was amazing. The beds were comfy (we also paid for the nominal linen package so we didn't need to cart anything with us). On the 1 day that was a bit rainy, the kids played some games inside, and did some coloring with the wonderful toys/books Claire and Micah provided. The main canvas tent was beautiful and also had equally beautiful views. The outhouse was perfect and not an outhouse by any stretch as it was compostable with saw dust - as it didn't smell at all! All equipped with twinkle lights inside as well. We made good use of the kayaks and life vests on the property. Corn hole was also a blast and a really nice touch! Our kids had an absolute blast. Definitely take advantage of Micah's fresh lobsters delivered to the shore! Delish! There is so much to do (or not do) in and around Owl's Head. Birch Point State Park is a gem! Swimming was divine and the kids spent hours climbing rocks and looking for periwinkles. Owl's Head general store for their 7 napkin burger, Rockland is a hop away. Camper things to note, definitely bring rain boots, warm layers so you have it, and bug spray. We hope to make this a yearly tradition. Such a special property and we were so lucky to have made memories here. Thank you Claire and Micah!”
“Fantastic host and location. Even though we didn't have the best weather we were able to really enjoy the site and easy access to the ocean directly from the site. There is also a lovely beach at a state park a short walk from the site. Definitely take advantage of the lobsters, we ended up getting them every night! Best outhouse I've seen at a Tentrr too!”
“We had such a fantastic trip, the amenities like the small cabin, outhouse, and firewood were game changers compared to other Tentrr locations. Such a beautiful secluded site with so many local activities, including the kayaks included right at the shoreline. The view from the site is truly amazing and super refreshing - especially after a year of quarantine. Claire was fantastic and extremely helpful with recommendations in the local area. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, we were very lucky to get a reservation this year and hope to return in 2022!”
