“We had a wonderful time on this mountain watching the clouds blow in. We tried to see the comet and maybe did. It was a beautiful campsite and a memorable trip. Thank you John for your hospitality!”
“Over all the trip was great! Had some trouble getting to the camp site once we got to the ranch but we figured it out. Keep your eye out for the tiny tentrr sign. I communicated with campkeeper, John prior to the trip because we planned on having 8 campers and need the additional pop up tent. He said that many campers don’t know how to put the pop up tent together and ended up breaking them. I was told he would purchase a new tent for our group and send pics of it but he never did. When we got to the site, there wasn’t a new tent. There was a broken one. We were able to manage considering we ended up being 6 total (2 small kids). So we all slept in the canvas tent. You’re suppose to take trash to the designated trash point. Prior to arrival I asked John if I would be able to tell where that trash point was and be told me yes. Once you get up there, there is no service. We used the trash can at the site and figured that was it. Guess now. John called after our departure and was yelling and rude as hell about leaving the trash. Them on top of that started blaming us for other things. He said we moved the rocks around the fire pit which we DID NOT! Then he also accused us of leaving mosquito repelling coils in the tent which were already there where we got there! We left the trash but he never told us where this trash point was! So we were confused. Everything was placed in the trash can. No trash was left on camp grounds”
“This is a great remote camping spot. The directions were a little tricky, and the drive to get to the top of the mountain is an adventure, but the actually camping spot is exactly as it looks. Make sure you get clear directions before you go, no cell service at the site!”
“Me and my wife just spend a wonderful 4th of July weekend at Mountainside and everything was amazing. The views, the camp site and even the fireworks were a dream. Thanks John for letting us taking advantage of your amazing land.”
“Wow. I can't say enough good things about John's incredible spot. Truly million dollar views on top of a hill overlooking Hobart and the surrounding area. This was my first Tentrr experience and loved the amenities provided at the site. The air mattress was super comfortable, cooking and building a fire was a breeze, and the sunrise and sunset were unforgettable. John came by to say hello and make sure we were all set up when we arrived. I'm so happy to have discovered this part of New York state and plan to come back and check out John's other nearby sites.”
“This was a gorgeous place! We loved it and will return. Only complaint was the tent needed cleaning—moths and flies were very present partly due to large opening around stove pipe etc, although the wood platform also has open slats. Otherwise total gem.”
“The site was absolutely beautiful, we had a great time! I would love to visit this spot again and definitely recommend it to anyone. We didn't have a hard time finding it, but you do need four-wheel drive. Unfortunately, it rained a lot during our trip, but the tent was able to keep us try. We could even cook inside it, which was nice.”
