Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“The view was beautiful and we were lucky enough to have clear skies which allowed us to use our telescope to view a couple of planets and the moon. In terms of improving customers satisfaction we were disappointed that the host never made any contact with us before the trip and he never replied to our messages. The Tentrr site was dilapidated and not in the best condition as I am accustomed to see in my previous trips to other Tentrr sites. I will not book with this host again.”
“First, let me begin with stating that the poor review that I am giving is not because of the location. The hayfield was AMAZING! It was very private, beautiful location, it was clean, sleeping was comfortable, heat at night (it can get really cold), I can honestly go on and on about how beautiful this place was.
However, my interaction with John (the host) was horrible. Please do not book this place if you are new to Tentrr or if you are going to need a little assistance from him. After I completed by booking weeks before the arrival date, Tentrr did not provide me with any information or specific directions on how to get to the location. I only received one email after the booking (confirmation email) with booking detail, address, and host email and contact information. Then, a week before the booking date I received another email with more information about what to bring, verification of address, and places around the area. Never did I receive an email with SPECIFIC information on how to find the location (the area is very hard to find when you put it in the GPS and there is no signal when getting to the mountains so it seemed normal to me to ask for help when you are a costumer paying for services). John kept repeating that Trentt was supposed to send me an email with instructions on how to arrive to the place which I never did, that is something that I will address with Tentrr so I recommend to verify with Tentrr or the host before arriving to the place.
Anyway, this does to excuse the behavior and disrespectful attitude I received from the host when he finally met with me to redirect me to the location. I have an abundance of experience with Airbnb, Vrvo, Dyrt, and other camping/traveling apps so I can say that my experiences with other hosts have ALWAYS been a positive one and I was kind of in denial that I went through such a bad situation with John. He was very rude and went on about why I wasn’t able to find the location and that he had NEVER had to meet a costumer to help find the location (um ok?). I apologized and tried my best to be as polite as I could be in a situation when someone is making you feel dumb because you can’t a hidden tent in the mountains. I lost it when we finally got to the place as he kept talking to me as if he was proving free services and not a costumer who just needed extra help. I understand that some people might have other things going on, but at the end of the day this is a business and I expect to be treated with RESPECT and KINDNESS. He just needed to provide me with a picture of the entrance or pick up the phone and talked to me in a calm way (he only answers to text messages). Finally, my boyfriend had to get off the car and talk to John because I was so upset at the treatment we received. I really hope he was having a bad day and hope this does not happen to anyone. I will address this with Tentrr as well. For anyone who is booking this place, please know that you will love the location and it is truly beautiful, but please verify address and ask for specific instruction to get to the place to avoid this situation.
Good luck”

“This spot had a great view of the sky for stargazing as well as some nearby mountains. The place was clean, isolated, and very welcoming. There are some good hikes to go on about 30 minutes away, but they are worth the drive.”
“If you are looking to get away for some peace and quiet this is where to go. The site and path is also well kept, you don’t need awd to get to it. The view is also beautiful. We had a great time!”
