“Amazing area away from everyone. I’d recommend to everyone. Note: you probably need 4wheel drive to get up the old logging trail to the site. But so worth it.”
“My friends and I had a great time. The experience was amazing even though we has a Tropical Storm the first night. The only thing I'd have to give a heads up for is the very big hill/hike form where you park your car and the camp site. Its a lot for someone if you aren't active and in shape. I would recommend going in a pick up truck or Jeep to get your vehicle up. We had a minivan and didn't even try. The place was great!”
“My girlfriend and I camped here in June of 2020 as a vacation away from quarantine. Overall a solid 4/5 stars.
The tent is on a hill overlooking a gorgeous field, with lots of room to sit and space to see the stars when they come out. It got chilly, even in June and even with the wood burning stove, so definitely bring more blankets / quilts then you think you need.
The only downside is the road to the tent site, its pretty steep and rocky. If you have a 4x4 the drive up would be pretty easy, however if you don't you have to park pretty far from the tent site then walk up, which can be annoying if you have blankets / food.
It would also be nice if there was a place to hang the solar shower, even like a wooden rod extending from the tent or something would make a big difference.
overall, great site, great experience!”
“5 stars for view - couldn’t have a better view!
2 stars for cleanliness: there was a wasp nest in the tent, 2 mice living in the stove, leaves all over the inside of tent, an empty box of beer under the bed”
“Our first tentrr experience was a hoot and thanks to Brian and company for taking good care of us. The site is toward the top of the hill with a gorgeous vista of surrounding mountains. While our vehicle couldn’t traverse the 1/4 mile trail due to steep elevation and a few muddy areas, we made quick work of unloading the care on foot. The natural spring provided chilly and refreshing water. The site was clean and plenty of area for activities.”
