Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“We just enjoyed a two night stay at Forest Hideaway, Albert the campkeeper met us at the entrance and showed us the way to the site. Please be aware there is a steep hill to navigate coming and going and suggest AWD. The site is on a slant but the tent is level. Albert was so nice, made sure we had plenty of wood and water the whole weekend. Please note there are not a lot of extras (and the site could use some maintenance but it is camping), please bring everything you need to cook (grate is provided). It was beautiful to sit by the fire with all the stars above, to wake up to deer in the field. Very thankful for wood stove in tent as it went down to the 30's at night but we were warm and toasty and used it to cook our breakfasts. We hiked Sawmill (great 2 mile hike with falls) and then ventured to the Lehigh trail and hiked a bit of the Appalachian. Jim Thorpe is nearby, great town. Overall a great first Tentrr experience.”
“We had a great experience staying here for 2 nights. Albert was very accommodating, and made sure the camp was fully stocked and cozy. The view ahead of the cabin is gorgeous, and the pine forest behind is breathtaking. The drive up the field is steep, but we were able to make it in our Ford ranger. Grocery stores were close by as well. Can't wait to come back!!”
“Had a great experience as a first time camper . This tent pretty much came with most of the essentials, water , firewood, wood furnace , fire pit .... all I had to bring was food ,a portable charger or you can use the car charger in your vehicle, and lamps for lighting when it turned dark. Besides that the property was beautiful secluded enough and so quiet. The property owners were very friendly and helpful. If you do not visit this site with a truck ( 4x4) you may have a hard time getting out of the driveway as it is steep and all grass ,so no grip for our tires when we tried leaving for water rafting , Albert allowed us to park at his driveway for the second night which was extremely helpful and we were able to take the hike to and from the car when needed which is a nice way to appreciate the property.”
“My boyfriend and I had a great time only one night and this was very peaceful for us! An escape surround by pure natural. Especially the view in front of the tent at night! Albert was very nice and great preparing.
We would recommend & coming back again.”
“Oh boy, where to begin. We had such a good time here! Albert was amazing, and so accommodating. We recommend bringing sleeping pads if you end up using the dome tent, because the site is on quite the Slope; you’ll end up at the bottom of the tent if you don’t have something less slippery! The site itself is gorgeous, and we will be coming back soon!”
“Forest hideaway was just that... An escape from the rest of the world. My girlfriend and I enjoyed going to bed to the sound of the frogs and waking up to the sound of the rosters. We loved sitting out on the tents deck and watching the deer and turkey in the medows all day. Albert and his wife are excellent camp keepers... They supplied us with enough fire wood for the whole weekend. Very friendly and always were just a text away. Would recommend a 4x4 as the treck in is a bit steep for a car. Would also recommend sawmill trail a short 10 min ride away... It's a short trail only 2.0 miles but one of my favorite we ever hiked... Even popped the question at the falls as we had them all to our selves...she said YES!!! Fully recommend this site as long as the weather isn't forcasted to be too hot... We will be returning again in the near future.”
