“Needed a place close to Maramec Spring and this fit the bill. Pretty much as advertised. I liked how this one was tucked back in some hardwood trees compared to the other site available. However the other site was another .5 mile back and was probably far enough away from the highway noise. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s not for you. There’s also no heater despite it being mentioned in some reviews and seen in the pictures. I’d stay again!!!”
“The campsite was peaceful and we saw deer and turkeys. It is conveniently located across the road from Meramec Springs State Park. We heard owls and coyotes after we went to bed. The bed was pretty comfortable. My only complaint is the check-in instructions. The information emailed to me said to contact the host for check-in information. Upon arriving, we figured out check-in is through the park office and was simple to do. It was just confusing that the instructions sent didn’t say that to begin with.”
“The place was awesome and in a great location! If you are looking for a beautiful, private, and peaceful retreat, this is your place! We will stay again!”
“Check in was fast and easy. The location is beautiful and secluded.
On the drive to the camp site we got to see wild life everywhere which was a cool experience for the whole family. FYI-
When you check in they give you your bundles of wood for each night stay and a park pass to enjoy the springs while your there. We enjoyed having the use of the fire pit/grill daily at our disposal for all of our meals. The bench/table set up came in handy for eating and prepping meals. The bed was comfortable, and bathroom bags were easy to put in and take out. If you would like to use the refillable water bag you just need to take a short drive to the camp site where the showers and other bathrooms are located to refill it.
We truly enjoyed our stay here.”
“Incredible location. Very private and gorgeous scenery. Easy checkin and directions, felt safe, clean, and a fun ‘glamping’ type alternative. Only thing I would change is having an electric hookup but being off grid for a few days wasn’t bad at all!”
